I have a few questions for Myrtle Beach locals...

I'm gonna be in town for a week around New Years, hanging out in a rented condo with the whole in-law family. Is it worth me bringing a board with me? I don't need any crazy downhill, but some nice rolling slopes would be nice. And anything would be a slope compared to where I am in Chicago. Bringing it would be kind of a pain though, so I'd hate for it to be all wet or have it just be all flat.

While I'm here, I'd like to ask about surfing too. I know this is a skate forum but does anyone know if I could rent a longboard and are there any good beginner breaks nearby? I've surfed maybe a couple times. I know it'll be cold but I do have an old 4/3 wetsuit. Would that be enough?

Lastly, if anyone has recommendations for a fun place to party on New Years Eve, I'm all ears.
