Well damn, its on. We will be shredding up Tampa Tues. December 29th, and Miami on January 7th. I will be back with more information and locations soon, but its definitely happening!

Post here with any info, suggestions, or questions, and I will keep adding information as we go.

There is a nice sized meet up happening in Tampa/Westshore tonight. I'll check to see who all coming to tonight's event will be down for the 29th.
I'll check out some good locations and what not and get back to you with all that jazz.

I posted in the last forum on this that I emailed 800 +/- USF student (Surf n Wake team) about this. Good feedback so far! Should be sick. We have 3 good garages on campus, 2 are way better than the 3rd, but campus will be dead so we can do them all!! Then maybe hit the bro-bowl and then move to the garages down town from there since it will be late enough

Hell yeah, sounds great, I certainly have no time restraints so we should just go as long as we can, but those who do can show up and leave whenever.

I'm able to make some posters if you guys want them, I just need all the info that should be on there, and I'll make something up. I go to the Art Institute of Tampa (Can't afford it anymore though) and can definitely get a poster made.

That would be sweet. Really all it needs is the race title, the dates, and the meeting place, which for Tampa is going to be at the base of the big parking garage (8 stories I believe) and the time which will be 8pm. I was thinking an evening into night event, but if many oppose this we could start during the day.

I've sent him a pm asking for specific information. But to show what I've got right now, here's two posters with 2 variations. I Prefer the one with the skater since I've been trying to find a use for that for a while. The garage is based off the USF garage next to the magnolia apartments without that middle piece. If you like this one I could definitely go up there and get a good picture so I can make a better version of it. I ptrefer the yellow text over the black for both. "Meeting Place" is just a temporary place holder for the actual location. Any suggestions are 100% welcome!

Those look great! I will reply to your PM now. In Tampa we should just meet at the front entrance of the USF library if tht is okay, then we can gather and move from there.

For Miami we will meet at the front entrance to the library at the University of Miami. They have 3 garages there so it should be a good place to start. Has anyone hit these garages?

Think about your time a little more. 8pm is still open season for pigs and fake pigs(spam) alike.
Our westshore/tampa posse has learned not to set a board down until after or around 11pm in westshore, thats when the golf carts are locked up and the night is ours.

Talk to deathboard about USF times and what not, he'd know more than I would.

Also, I might be getting a shitty ass loaner van to taxi everyone around if we go garage hoppin. It'll be less noticeable if there is one car opposed to many cars. Anyone else has a van or multi-person mover?

I have no problem with going later, I would even prefer it, I just didn't know how others felt about it. Also I know USF won't be in session, so I didn't think there would be much heat, but does anyone know for real? 11pm would be sick, I love skating late, if anyone wouldn't be able to make it speak up now, in a few hours if its okay the time will be changed. The loaner is a great idea too, I am sure everyone could throw down a few bucks if we can't just find one.

so, as of now, what about this event is written in stone?

what can I/we/people attending do to get this ball rolling and make sure this is going to be as good as we all are hoping for.

Lemme know what needs done, bro. I'm in the tampa area and I'll as much as I can to see this thing go off.

I got kind of a rough idea for the 29th. Let me know or sleepinglion know if anything should be changed.

Meet around 10:30-ish at USF library area. wait a bit for everyone to show up and kick the sh!t, swap super amazing extreme skate stories(super amazing extreme stories ONLY) around 11pm or a little after we go hit the USF scene (2 or 3 different gargaes i think), do that until we tired of it.
After that we move to the westshore area and hit about 3 maybe 4 garages down there. The westshore area is nice, its clean, its lit up at night, these are good and bad things. some of the nicer, newer garages have rent-a-pigs all night. Usually we'll get 1 maybe 2 runs in before the spam comes around telling us to leave.
After westshore I was thinking downtown tampa hit the mammoth 10 level beast as much as we ca and other garages downtown. Maybe as a wrap up we hit the bro bowl, kick some sh!t, talk about the night, do whatever and see what time and where we are.

This is just a rough idea going through my head of how the night could go, it's not "the plan" but it could go along those lines of course finding more spots through out the night an setting up races and maybe some slalom type games along the way.

Again, if anything could be added or changed, let everyone know, throw your ideas out here, man, we need them. it's pretty much going to be played by ear so If YOU wanna add something to the night, do it.
