Any cool parks or anything in Charlotte NC?

Are there any cool parks in charlotte that would be good to learn how to cross step and slide? Like a trail or something that is all paved.

Best thing is to just find a street without much traffic. Anywhere is fine, I ride in traffic all the time.

I saw this thread and had to respond because it gave me a tremendous warm jolt of nostalgia. I remember that skate park on South Blvd, just North of the Scaleybark intersection. Variflex trucks, Sims wheels, half pipes, moguls, bowls. Ahhh, 1982 and 12 again, trying to be Duane Peters.

Theres a few good trails around here but they lack hills and have wooden bridges to slow the wheels down.... I am also looking for spots like that.

my neighborhood is the best place that we have found yet around the weddington/marvin/waxhaw/westly chapple area. i can give directions if anyone wants to come skate somtime.
