we had fun today. got to hit the runs a few good times. had ourselves trading off driving down and up everytime. after about ten or so runs the cops showed up. they were kind hearted and helped ben get his board out of the gutter lol. but they kicked us out. so we need to stay off the middle hill out of the 3 runs for awhile. the peson who keeps calling the cops lives on that hill some where.

after that we headed to NG and bombed that a few good times. we were getting mad speed cause it was down win on the BRAND new paved part. But then the wind changed completly and went the other direction, and we were getting like 20 mph back winds. so we started bombing the other side and we were easily hitting 40 with the wind pushings us. On one run everyone went on the left side of the bumb and i hit the bumb and sailed down and FLEW past everyone so i had to be atleast going 45 they all think. But on that run Ben WIPED out. he fell HARD. i didnt see what happened but he was F*ucked up. thank god for fullfaces though.

it was a fun run, and dozer, thanks for the bushing set up. im loving it.

I'm good for the most part. Lots of road rash.....

Forty is fast.....fast. Will have to get used to speeds like that.

Cops were awesome though.

I got tiny wobbles after the bump on north grassy and never got in control of them so they got much worse.....causing me to fall. Woke up very stiff this morning. Every time i stretch i feel like i'm tearing open something.

I drive the scenic route clermont would take an hour on the back roads. Im not hitting the longwood spot, im pretty confident i remember other spots over there from childhood that rival sandlot and the likes, I also got some friends I may visit if skating gets rained out.I pulled some spots up on google maps just to make sure I wasn't dreaming, and they look real good, i4 turns into a mini turnpike through clermont as it runs through Longwood and that's where I'll be.

Ouch a fall on grassy has to be rough, did you have elbow and knee pads?

All i had was a full face and gloves. I'll be investing in some elbow and knees pads very soon.

If I were you, I'd invest in Crails for your Demonseed.

Idk i don't really see the difference between randals and crails besides a different baseplate angle and bushing seat. With the right bushing set up randals are fine for dh.

I should probably just tighten my trucks up a little(there super loose), and work on my ankles.

45 degree baseplate angle vs 50 for more stability. They are tall enough where they won't cause railbite on the Demonseed (where 42 randals typically do on smaller wheels.

And the bushing seat can accommodate stims much easier if you want to reduce your turning radius slightly.

I feel for you. my first time down grassy i bailed at about 40 mph as well. Still have the scars to show for it. Speed wobbles can kill lol. Hope you heal up well dude. Vitamin E is your best friend!

Mater just got F*CKED up. We were bombing our hill in longwood and a car went right through the stop sign. I had to hardcore slide to the left just to avoid it, i almost hit it and barely missed by a foot. Mater plowed right into it T boning it. i ended up sliding into the curb and fell over (nothing bad) but i was down for a second so couldnt see what happened right away. i just hear mater YELLING as loud as he can. few seconds later i finally relize what just happened and i go over to him. there was a good inch or so of bone visible and his leg was really ####ed up. the guy that hit him called in the medical team and within a minute there was an officer on the site. Nothing is wrong with him except his leg is badly ####ed up. thank god for brain buckets. I think he is gonna be just fine - the broken leg.

oh and on top of that, my brand new zigs that i bought like 3 days ago have a huge 1 in chunk on it from sliding out. which F*CKING SUCKS. best 40$ spent ever.....

mater hang in there buddy. your a champ and you took that better than i could have.

Longwood spot is off limits for a good while!!!! This is the second car related incident there in less than a month(first one was me....it sucks bad.). First time with spotters. This time without. YOU SHOULD NOT SKATE THIS HILL WITHOUT A SPOTTER!! Cars do not stop at that stop sign. This should not have happened. It could have been any one of us.

If you feel the need to skate this spot USE A SPOTTER!! SPOTTERS THAT ARE WILLING TO STAND IN THE ROAD BLOCKING THE WAY FROM CARS! People run that stop sign all the time.Let this spot lay low for a while PLEASE! I know some of you are new to the hill and like it alot, but i guarantee there will be problems with cops now. I'm sure the residents will not be so kind to us now either.

Wear your helmets and skate safe.

SPOTTERS!!

edit: As for fault i was told they filed a police report. Thats all i know. But if you think about it they both ran the stop sign.
