We are amped for our session, new board, trucks and wheels, and as soon as the elevator door opens and the roof my jaw drops. I could not believe what I was looking at on the wall. How could someone be so stupid to get such a good thing shut down.
So we walked out to evelator slowly, looked for security guards and walked slowly following the arrow to this way to bomb. Not because we didnt know where we were going, but because we knew this is by far the best line in downtown tampa.
Whoever did this ####. IT IS NOT COOL! and it could get that garage shut down for everyone, and that is the best garage in tampa. I hope we see you guys "bombing" there in the future. hell i might take your ass to the police station.
here are the fools that did this ####. im sure they arent on this site but they will get whats coming to them. and if they are on this site......even better

That stinks.
What a way to screw up something good.
I hope you castrate them when you catch up to them, if you do.
Thats retarded, Whomever did that deserves a massive beatdown. You should paint over it, win points with the rent-a-cops
we thought about asking if we could paint over it for them, but skating isnt allowed in that garage, so in doing a good deed woudnt we be turning ourselves in?
if you tag somwhere and someone paints over it, you are going to tag there again. if you tag somewhere and you get arrested for it, you arent going to tag there every again.
We lost a good garage here in San Diego due to tagging and drinking, too. There were always empty cans and bottles of alcohol when we would show up to skate. We always threw them away as we didn't want to be associated with drinking. Then the tagging started to show up. That's when we knew it would soon be over. And it was. Security showed up and called the police - four city cop cars and one highway patrol unit. That was the end of our skating. My advice is to let the spot chill for a month or two. Hopefully you will be able to go back when things cool off. As for the taggers, good luck trying to get them to see the error of their ways.

For legal reasons the owners of the place are never going to "let" you skate there. If they have been cool with skating and not kicking you out I would consider just painting it myself which may buy some goodwill and keep it skateable. With a couple friends you could do it quick.
If they do start to crack down on skating, then every group that skates there is in there eyes the vandals that painted their garage up and you are all screwed.
PS- From the look of it the painting wasn't taggers (I like to tag everything I see and consider it my artistic contribution), but probably some dumb kids that happened to find some paint. I bet if you painted it, it probably wouldn't happen again.
Yea, I wouldn't call that tagging, just stupid vandalism.

a can of spray paint does not a tag make.
sucks that that happened, though. i wouldn't really advise painting it back over, but thats just because I wouldn't do it myself.
good luck on your skating there. hopefully they do come back, right in the middle of a session!

I dunno how the management feels about such things, but some places seem to have "no skating" signs for liability purposes only, and don't actively enforce it. (Other places enforce with a vengeance.)
If it's the former, and you really like the spot, I'd try an anonymous letter and then a quick re-painting. Let them know that you keep the place clean and watch out for vandals while you're there. Give 'em a made up name so they can identify you? Might work, might not. Probably only worth it if you really love the spot.
Sucks to have a-holes mess up a good secret spot. Only upside is that there's more secret spots, and sometimes it's half the fun to go looking.

weve pretty much tapped out all the garages around the area... but i just found a new garage that could be pretty good.
That really sucks. That's true vandalism, not graffiti.
Where is that by the way? I live in the Palm Harbor/ Clearwater area and I'm trying to find some new places to skate.

I'm with Hexagon here--maybe if they get a letter that shows all skaters aren't tagging @$$holes at least it will soften them up a bit so that if you happen on security in the future they don't jump to the conclusion that you're vandals.
And who knows, maybe they'll be glad for the painting help in exchange for turning a blind eye to those late-night sessions?
Hard to tell what management's true feelings on this might be. Like how some people don't seem to care that you're renting a warehouse to live in, and willing to look the other way even though it's not legal. And how others are just out to catch you. No real way to tell what you're dealing with, unfortunately.
