hey i'm not sure if anyone here builds boards but just wondering if you guys know where i could get baltic birch because im considering building a couple boards in the near future

I believe that Suwanee Lumber on Buford Hwy has BB plywood. If not, check with Woodcraft. That would be a little more expensive though.

hey what do you guys think about skating the unicoi turnpike?
i found a real good dh course but i need a second opinion. it maybe a little fast for some of the hairpins, and there may be too much traffic, but idk since im pretty new to dh.

there is a decent one near the dorms at southern polytechnic. it has a very small stream of water, but fun.

idea: sticky for just posting favorite skate spots around different areas. For example, there could be a marietta one, dunwoody, gwinett. Just to get even more localized than "atlanta," which really contains the entire city plus the surrounding area the size of two more atlantas.

The reason I started this thread was because there really isn't enough longboarders in ATL to support a bunch of sub-local threads. I just wanted to wrangle everyone into one place if possible.

I am going to be skating kendrix ridge some this weekend. Powerhouse closes on Sept.9 to vehicles. That means freeriding galore! I am working on an event with Woody's for the north side guys.

Do you guys only skate like HUGE racing hills and race? cuz i like to go out and crise around and have fun...i like moderately big hills and like speed..but not to the point where if you fall you lose all the skin on your back or even die...so tell me what you guys are into
