the trail is lots of fun gives you a good opportunity to practice your pumping and build stamina (which i have very little of) im not in georgia right now but when i get back home im gonna start skating the trail more often because its getting cooler out there right?
ps. im in texas right now without my cruiser so im starving to skate
the trail we speak of is the silver comet trail its really long goes on forever but yeah the only longboarders i know are the guys i got into it which is about 5 or 6 and than marco but i have never met him but where in marietta are you cause we could go to the trail later this year im gonna be back in marietta around mid september for an anime convention so anything after plus theres the bonus of it being cool unlike trying to do 10 miles in mid july when its like 94 degrees
hey, whats this i here about a trail? im new to marietta, and it would be cool to meet some fellow longboarders.
I've never been to the trail myself, where in marietta do you live? I live in kennesaw but pretty close to the mountain. I'm trying to find a good garage closer to me. I know a good one close to 285 and 400.
Yeah, the Silver Comet rocks. Just read back through the posts in this thread. It's all in here. Locations, maps, secret spots etc... It's just buried in this thread. It's worth the read. Lots of gems...

Is there a Atlanta, Georgia longboarding club? If so please
contact me at adam@loadedboards.com
Remember if you have a longboard club let us know and we can help
spread the word, news@loadedboards.com

and i would also like to know if there is some form of club too
Ross, the best we have is the google group that I set up, this thread, and Woody's meets. That's what I emailed Adam earlier today when I saw that in the newsletter.
WHOA! I haven't posted in a while and man have the skaters come out from hiding.

Dude, come to KSU. They just opened up a new parking deck to add to the 3 that are already here! KSU is sick for longboarding, lots of big hills for DL and decks or long roads for crusing.

Yeah man, I just transfered out of SPSU to KSU but they have a longboarding club here. It is on 'hiatus' right now with no one running it but give me a shout sometime and head to KSU. It's about 10 minutes up I-75 and it's great for longboarding.
I am totally up for participating in an ATL longboarding community event. I didn't get to go to the Woody's event but am totally up for another one. If I can get the KSU club running again then we can organize some races or something.
Yeah, it's pretty cool that ATL folks are starting to come out of the woodwork. Powerhouse road closes to vehicles on the 9th. Time for freeriding after that.

Dude I went to check out the new parking deck it looked nice but wasnt too sure how clear it was. I went on labor day but there was enough cars driving around and thought maybe another day. Camel will tell you I'm not really into speed but I will carve the hell outta some hills. Anyways man hit me up this weekend. I will be down for a session sunday night (no work on monday). OUT....

Dude, the new deck is awesome! Even for just carving it is great because it is a continuous, smooth ride down, none of those long, flat breaks between ramps. It is crowded so I usually ride at night. It's well lit and empty at night. I'm up for sunday night man. PM me.
This saturday a couple of friends and i are probably going to either powerhouse or silver comet!
either way everyone is invited, feel free to lemme know which location is better for you guys.
if enough people come out we can make a day out of it, and we can all pitch in some food or something and chill all day!
feel free to pm me

Hey, how long is the powerhouse road gonna be closed to vehicles? I am planning on taking a trip up to atlanta in the future, and this could affect when I come.
