Hey guys wassup. I live in the south cobb area and just got my board set up. It would be great to go ride with some other people. some of the places I skate would include my newly asphalt paved neighborhood, biggest DH is maybe 25mph. The road named forest hill by me could possibly get you to 40-45mph and a road in athens ( not atlanta area i know) called hidden hills. I only went 1/3 of the way up and hit 32mph.

Has anyone considered going down kennesaw mountain? I seem to remember the road being fairly gentle in slope and wide. I remember I only hit 32mph on my roadbike while pedaling hard. seems like if you can footbrake speeds could be kept in check. anyone want to check it out?

So I basically do nothing but chill and longboard all day. so anyday anyone is getting together let me know!

See Camel's signature to join the Longboard-Atlanta Google group. You'll find some rides happening over there. We're getting some folks together on Saturday to hit some hills around Kennesaw Mountain, which 5 minutes from where I live, that have minimal traffic. Hope to see you out.

Hey Ashton, you know where Tapp middle school and Wild Horse Creek are? I live about a mile from there. Powder Springs isn't huge where do you live?

This weekend's happenings as I know them to be:

Friday night REI. 9:30pm or later
Saturday night Kennesaw with AlG as our skillful and knowledgeable guide.

gonna stop by woody's tomorrow during lunch and see if those people want to come out to as well. they have a facebook group but me and facebook don't really see eye to eye.

This will be my first time hitting up this parking deck. I think its been dubbed the REI Deck b/c thats the lot that you park your car in and then you hoof it over to the deck behind it. Sounds like its on for Friday, more peeps can make it out on Friday rather than Thurs. Should be a good turnout.

If you start on the 7th level instead of the 8th you should stay dry, but there may be some standing water on a few of the decks.

well that was fun. marc and alex showed up. Anyone ever heard of knee injuries from ducking down into the coleman stance? I think I may have torn something...
