Re: Atlanta Longboarder Registry
Not to be a thread-jacker, BUT:
I've got some slalom gear for sale. I'm posting it in the ATL thread because i don't want to deal with the hassle of the general classifieds section on the fish, what with interstate shipping and getting paid and stuff. Here's a list of what I've got and what I'm selling it for:
Sk8Kings Axe II slalom deck- $60 good condition, including grip.
Tracker RTS/RTX Trucks- $30/set
Lemon/Lime Zigs 70mm- $30/set of four (2 Lemon, 2 Lime, plus bearings)
22 Slalom Cones by Seismic- $20. These retail on the seismic site for $2 apiece
The parts for the board are currently set up. I'll be happy to either sell it in parts or sell the complete setup as a sum of the prices ($120). This of course includes hardware, bushings, wedging, etc. Feel free to email me at rossman24792@gmail.com or PM me if you're interested in anything or want pictures of the gear. I'm on the northside of ATL in the Norcross/Dunwoody area, but can travel within reason to meet up for a sale. Spread the stoke!

Kendrix Ridge. It backs up to Twin Creeks. It's an unbuilt subdivision off of Suwannee Dam Road. Google map Suwanee Dam, you'll find it near SR20. Get on the google group if you want more info. Or send me a PM.

There are all different levels of hills in there and it is blocked off from vehicles. It's a really fun place to progress your skills to bigger and better things. Hit me on PM if you are headed that way. I can walk there from my house.

If anyone wants to do some riding at Berry College in Rome, we have some sick hills here that are just waiting to get shredded.

Re: Atlanta Longboarder Registry
I'm looking to buy a beginner long board which will be perfect for the college commute. Where in Downtown Atlanta are there good skate shops with a wide range of possibilites?
I'm looking for a 45"x10" Midflex board with soft wheels.

The only worthwhile longboard shop in Atlanta is up in Norcross. If you can, try to make it out to Woody's Halfpipe. If you can't get out that far I think Skate Escape Bike Shop might carry some Sector 9s.

ATL electric longboard trails?
hey guys,
im a traditional longboarder here in atl. I have just picked up an e-glide sector9 electric board. With these I dont really want the hills so much cause it can burn out the motor. Any good ideas as to paths, trails that would be friendly for the electric boards? I wonder if the siver comet or greenway trails would give me the boot becuse there arent suppose to be "motorized" vehicles. anyone else riding electric out there?
thanks ,
Brandon

can you not put it in neutral? technically you can charge the battery if you spin the motor in the opposite direction. so maybe go down hill backwards?

So I guess these would be good places to check out for LDP. I'm going to be in Atlanta for a few days so if anyone can mention any other locations, perhaps an asphalt track or loop I'd appreciate it!

Stocago, when are you going to be in town?

Re: Atlanta Longboarder Registry
Sunday thru Wednesday, but Sunday is a family day, so I probably won't get to skate until the weekdays.
Thanks for the Piedmont Park suggestion.

Where are you staying? What part of ATL?

Re: Atlanta Longboarder Registry
Dunwoody area. I remember it being pretty hilly. Any ideas for some flatter terrain close by?
