Thumbs up NORTHWEST LOUISIANA (and east Texas)

Alright Shreveport, Bossier, Minden, Monroe, North Desoto, Haughton, etc etc.
Where are you guys riding?!

I ride real frequently in Shreveport as does my brother. Hit me up on this thread if you know great places to ride in NW LA or if you wanna hook up for a session because we are all about it.

If you are in Shreveport, my favorite haunts are:
Highland Neighborhood. (North of Kings hwy and east of Line ave.) Great black top and lots of short but steep suburban hills.
South Highlands (Between Line and Gilbert) Oneonta is particularly nice. Ideal sliding hill.
Motor Hotel Parking Garage (At Line Ave. and Jordan St.) Good carving and bombing garage. This place is WACKY though. You will see some shady types and abandoned cars and such. Never felt unsafe, just a bit on the weird side.
Goldsberry Rd area out towards Southern Trace on Ellerbe rd., take a left on Pueblo. Once you cross the RR tracks, you are in cruising paradise. Low traffic, several fun hills. The black top is a bit bumpy in places, but a great low key, windy and hilly cruising area. Explore all the streets!

If you ever make it to new orleans give me a PM or something and we'll skate. There's tons of garages (14 stories, huge spirals, etc) to skate here.

Ah, man, yeah. I used to live in N.O. actually. At Canal and Carolton. I will definitely look you up next time I'm down there.

A couple new spots in Shreveport:

West of Fairfield
There is all kinds of fun riding between line avenue and St. Vincent streets. Our favorite spot is west of fairfield. Drop in on Ontario st. and you will discover a lot of different types of hills through a ritzy, old money neighborhood full of beautiful houses and yards. The best thing about it though is the smooth streets, hardly any traffic and nearly every intersection is a 4 way stop which is much safer for you since you will be tearing right through them. This is the best spot I've found in Shreveport to date.
Capitol One Drive-Thru
This is on line avenue across from Brookshires, uptown -- not far from the west of fairfield spot. Gentle grades to practice sliding will gliding through the drive-thru stalls. Not as thrilling as the previous spot, but a great place to practice...just make sure the bank is closed.

New spot in Shreveport:

Southern Hills - Rhett Drive.

Rhett drive is located off of Bert Kouns near Willis Knighton South Hospital. Turn on to Rhett Circle (also a good run, though shorter) and then take a left on Rhett Dr. You'll be at the bottom of the hill. It's a nice long carve, especially if you start on the street at the top of the hill and turn left onto Rhett Dr.

Manor St., also close by, is also a nice long run but it's not as steep as Rhett dr.
This neighborhood is a good one to cruise and carve in. Every time I go I find a new run.
There is minimal traffic too.

Google Map Location: Rhett Dr.
