Longboarding in Orlando, FL
Is there somewhere good to go and cruise for a weekend in Orlando? Some park/walkways or something?
Also, if someone is around here, I'd love to meet up. Im hanging out here by myself after a trade show in Orlando, so I have no idea what hotel to stay in or what to do. Just me and my board. 22/m.

If you're into crusing/pumping, there's the West Orange Trail, about 30-40 minutes out. I've been wanting to take my Hustler/Timeline/Libido out there and do some long-distance pumping
West Orange Trail is pretty damn long... but the garage sessions are probably down because its summer, and people are back at home now.

In Clermont there are some nice hills, but in Orlando its all about the parking garages!

Re: Longboarding in Orlando, FL
Tallahassee has some nice hills. 45mph is attainable and 50+ if you are willing to go one some roads with traffic.

Not exactly true.
You have to know......where to go.8)
And sometimes that requires ......................a little gasoline in the car.

I'm in the Orlando area. Go to UCF.
I'm fairly new to longboarding, but practice makes perfect, and I'm practicing. Love longboarding.
Went down a couple UCF garages...but they have really big grooves, and IDK if those hurt the board maybe?
I have a sector nine bombs hills. i'm contemplating buying some orangatangs, but i'm not sure if they will be too stiff for "sidewalk surfing" and garages.even though I want to get the 75mm ones (not sure if I'll get wheel bite), which will roll over these bumps and grooves better...we'll see.
Currently have 78a 65mm S9 stockies..

Stick with the 4president (70mm) for the bomb hills

Re: Longboarding in Orlando, FL
Im around UCF and have been skating downtown the past few sundays. What's cool is that we have run into other longboarders bombing the garages.

Anyone ever been down the pedestrian bridge on Cady Way Trail that goes over Semoran Boulevard (SR 436)? I think I saw someone going down it the other day, fully padded. I found it a little funny, I have no idea why, but he seemed to be in his thirties..
Anyone know how long it takes to skate Cady Way Trail?
If only I had the nerve to bomb a parking garage...
Anyone ever been in that parking garage behind the Panera Bread on Park Avenue in Winter Park? It looked pretty steep to me but it was only four or five floors.
