if I was wearing pants and a long sleeve shirt today along with my full face I don't think I could have skated more than 30 minutes.....shorts + t-shirt ftw with elbows/knees if you need/want em....and then lots and lots of water.....have a jug in your car or a camelbak on your back...shade is your friend
No. Baggy clothing that is light/thin will keep the sun off of you. And if you are moving the air will flow, cooling you down.

Just look at people from the middle east, long baggy and light clothing that covers your whole body. It is religious, but also has a purpose, it keeps you cool.

While that does prove true, wearing long clothing will trap heat and humidity. If you're covered up your skin can not breath and not feel the positives of SWEAT. I forget the % but your skin cools something like 250% times faster when wet. With no sweat you're gonna be baking in your own sweat stew without the air to cool it off on your skin. I get what you're saying and I do see examples of it, but with more movement I think it's less effective.
Longboard forums are intense.

again to emphasize the Lightness, and Breathability of the clothing that devon(thokk) is talking about. you wear khaki dress pants and a long sleeve button down, or underarmor type stuff, not a cotton long-sleeve and blue jeans. the air will still flow through and cause the sweat to evaporate, thus cooling you, just stay hydrated, like everyone else has said.
Another thing we're not taking into account is location. Albuquerque, Phoenix, El Paso, Flagstaff, Santa Fe, eastern Cali.... Every place is the hot south-west. Bet everywhere is different...
