Dallas- Fort Worth skate thread!!

Hey guys, I'm in the Denton area, do any of you know any hills or runs in my area?

The 1st time I ever witness anyone slide on a skateboard was on Bernard st around '92 or '93...

...Mostly people skate around North Texas campus......

right on. well sean (who is ususlly the one i ride with) is in houston this week but im sure when he gets back this weekend he will be wanting to get out your way probably early on next week. if so i will give you a buzz man.

oh btw i thought it was kinda funny i was talkin to a buddies mom yesterday and we were talkin about how my buddy fell while we were skating and she said a guy that use to work with me said he has a site where they sell slide gloves you should get some and i asked who that guy was and what do ya know turns out it was YOU. Then she was talking about how you took your board to work a few times and rode it in the garage.

Has anyone cruised the "new" trail extension that looks like it goes from Fair Park out to HyperDad's house or White Rock. I'm thinking I will skate the Katy into Downtown, over to Deep Ellum and catch that branch of the trail and see if I can make it all the way to White Rock...I may have to take a cab home...anyone down?

Hey Mark,

It's certianly needs exploring. It's been proposed that It would run about a few hunded feet from the house. But it currently it ends at Lindsley Park and is about a mile from WRL. But I'm still on the mend. I'll know more after the 17th. I'll.give you a call with the details.

Hey yall, if anyone is close to mckinney I found a pretty good niehborhood spot off hardin between eldorado and virginia. If any wants to know the exact place lmk. Theres alot of decent hills and one major hill that I took about halfway too big for me to bomb haha but it would be sweet to see someone take it! Or at least try! lol

Yeah tell me about it. I dont think its fair that those roadbikers take up the streets and sidewalks, but a longboarder cant ride anywhere. Im not hatin on roadbikers, ive done bmx for half my life... Its just that its not equal rights. I get the feeling that trick skaters tearing up property made it this way. Just an assumption.


On a side note... I will not be with the group this Friday. It is my girlfriend and I's 3 year anniversary, and I am going to take her out on a nice date!!! Plus we are going with the family to Weatherford lake cuz Sat. is my bro's birthday. I will miss you guys!!! I say next summer, you guys should come to our lakehouse in Weatherford. There are a bunch of different hills great for longboarding! I bring it everytime we go.

I head back to Weatherford every weekend and I always bring my longboard. What hills do you skate? I'd love to hit them up this weekend when I go home. (Currently living in Denton).

Same thing, what hills do you skate? I'd love to hit them up this weekend. I'm a photographer as well and I think I'm going to bring a photographer buddy of mine and we're going to do some night shooting around Weatherford lake with flash guns. We're definitely going to get some nice riding shots.

I'm living on campus, you can see me riding my 55" around quite a bit. We need to organize a Denton meet, definitely. We can meet at Hot Box or somewhere and grab a bite.

Also check out a nice long cruise on Ector. Denton is a very skate friendly town, not many fast hills, but lots of cruises...just be cool to the cops and refrain from stupidity and you can skate just about anywhere.

I loooooove Ector St. I accidentally discovered it while pushing around town and fell in love.
