i'm adding a another event and session after the race, so save some legs!
both these spots can be sessioned after dark, so don't worry will still have plenty of time to race!
the first event we'll do after the race and awards is gonna be a "funtest" , mini-downhill race...single-man runs on a 4 ft. wide pedestrian path.....bring a turny board....you''ll understand when you see the spot.
second post is gonna be just a session spot, once again bring something turnier than your standard DH set-up...oh did i mention this hairpin is'nt paved??...well kinda...with clay.
both spots are within easy skating distance from skate school.
remember meet at skate school @ 4pm....really try to get there sooner, so right at 4 i can lay out the rules for the race, draw names out of a hat and rally up to the race hill.
also...please email me if you plan on racing...or if you plan on racing and your girlfriend/friend/mom/sister wants to volunteer.

Cool, sounds fun. Are you talking like slalom boards? Or free ride dh boards?
i was riding a madrid mini board with a 14" wheelbase and super loose indy 101s if that helps you. pretty much anything will work as long as it turns quick.

I went up to Santa Fe on Sunday and skated the race course! It's amazing! My board and butt would disagree...
Just need to remember to slow down before the second turn.
Tiana was following me in the car, she said I hit 40mph on the straight and tried to take the turn around 30-35mph. It was a bad idea to go all out on my first run...

as in most cases, its not about racing fast, its about racing smart.
and yes, going full-on for your first run on a hill you've never skated made for some excellent video, try it again sometime!

Haha. It was stupid. I admit that. But now I know how to do it right! I took another run after, and did it pretty well. But just to be safe (and aero!) I'll be wearing my leathers for the race.
i'm stoked to ride the course, it looks like a boatload of fun...
i must do better than last time

the time is getting close....
so far i only have 16 people down on the racer list. email me if you are racing or want to volunteer. its helpful to know how many people i'm working with here.
since monsoon season appears be going late..this race will be held rain or shine...just hope for no rain.
if you are driving to santa and have'nt been here before and don't know where skate school is...heres the address to mapquest
825 early st.
santa fe, NM 87505
please try to get here a little early(race meeting starts at 4) so we can cram together in as few cars as possible to head to the race hill...its about a 10 minute drive from skate school.

I'm on there twice (Eric McConnell) and I'm afraid Jackson Moyers won't be able to make it. Apparently he has field training with his unit this weekend.

and yes you can freeride with the shuttle vehicles and not race if you want to, but hopefully everyone will be able to get 4 or so practice runs..the road is'nt realy that crazy you can go slow on it if you just carve and airbrake.
