    Default Stolen Board (NM)

before the end of the school year i had board stolen from me at a bus stop on yale and central. I posted reward posters before i left but i still haven't gotten a call. So i figured if anyone out there found it or sees it they could let me know.
its a DurangoBoard pintail. its green with sort of a tire tread pattern for a graphic. it has paris 180s and purple seismic 69s. most distinctively it has durangoboards cut into the grip tape. Its should be one of the only boards like this in ABQ especially with the seismics. It was my favorite board and was given to me by the owner of durangoboards himself. any tips would be helpful and there is a reward if it is found. (im hoping i can find it peacefully because if i see it on campus or at a ditch im goin to have to beat the hell out of whoever is riding it)

yeah. i skated with the guy and showed him some spots around town and took some pictures of him skatin and when he found out i got mugged for my board a week before he came he gave me a hell of deal. great guy and the boards are indestructible i highly recommend them (especially for ditches)
i got the worst luck with boards. hopefully someone has seen it or has it. Otherwise i'll be hittin the ditches and hills like a mad dog watchin for that board.

    I'll keep my eyes peeled.

Did you see who took it?

Thanks Thokk2. no. i was studying for a final at the bus stop and had the board leaning against the back of the bench. when the bus came i got on but then realized i forgot my board so pushed through to get out and it was gone! thats why im hoping someone just thought i accidently left it there and will be reasonable about giving it back without violence. (i never let a board out of my site but i literally had no sleep that night and had been studying the whole time so my mind was out to lunch)

Now that's a classic Albuquerque story. I was sitting at the Starbucks in Nob Hill last fall, when, upon getting up to leave, I found that someone had stolen my favorite sweater right off the back of the chair I'd been sitting in.

It may be New, but it's still Mexico. A lot of our neighbors steal as naturally as breathing. Especially in the summertime, when we've got hundreds of itinerant scumbags from all over the country drifting out of the Greyhound station, wandering around the city stealing stuff and picking fights. Most of them will be in jaiI by September.

I usually leave my boards nose-down, with the griptape of the tail resting at a steep angle against the corner of the table (or the bench next to me), so that even if I'm tired and spacey, I can't walk away from my board. Nor will it slide off the table and smack anyone! Or you could lay it upside-down and rest one foot on the deck; it's not in anyone else's way, and you can't forget it's there.

Really sorry about your board, man. Bummer of a way to lose a sweet ride. Here's hoping you get to kick the sh!t out of the guy who's riding it, and get your board back.

Thanks S_S_S. I usually keep my feet on my boards when im sitting outside but like the saying goes "it only takes that one time" im going to have to get a surfboard leash now lol
i don't know about the mexican thing but for sure it seems like every hobo and meth head in the US comes to NM after winter, especially albuquerque. i still have my Kommi so i can still get the stoke out but that doesn't mean any mercy for the guy who has it! (*dreams that a hot girl found it, tried to call me and i didn't answer, and will be skating around hoping the person who owns it will come claim it )
