WEREWOLF RUN!!! Saturday Sept 5th Full Moon @ Mcdowell Mountain
Alright guys same story as before but with a new name! The Werewolf Run! We'll meet up at 8pm saturday night, september 5th. I think this is the first time its been on a weekend.. so if you guys have any problems with that, please let me know and I can move it a few days forward or backward. Here are the details:
Meet 8pm @ 10215 E Mcdowell Mtn Ranch Rd, Scottsdale, AZ 85255.
DO NOT RIDE PATHS BEFORE 10PM to avoid pedestrians calling the cops on us and getting us kicked out of the neighborhood!
Rally in the parking lot of the library and then we'll hit the Mountain! Please try and bring as many vehicles as possible, or bring large ones and be willing to drive to the top.

why do you have to hit mcdowell mtn every time there's a full moon? hit it some other time, for example when it's not too late for me to drive that far.
plus full moons are the perfect time to skate certain hills with certain hairpins in certain gated communities

Because Mcdowell Mountain is best at night.. no pedestrians, no traffic. During the day it is a high traffic area because it is a huge neighborhood. A full moon is perfect because some of the paths in the neighborhood have no lights, and they're white, so they glow under the full moon. The path runs are great because they are about 4 feet wide and they twist and turn thru the desert landscape between houses. If you have a problem with skating after 8pm then maybe you could post up some of your own rides.. nobody is holding you back man! Hopefully you can make it out though.
I like sat night. Lets just go later! Door open at 830 show starts at 9! Just an idea as I was the "F####### jerk" who jumped the curb and almost hit her!.

full moon gated community runs with gnar hairpins are more awesome
until you lock your key's in your car
but then some college chicks drive by, and let you use their cellphones to call for help

holy sheet thats like a 5 min ride from my house. i'm new to this and i only have a small board (flexdex s30 w/ 150 r-ii). should i bother coming?
If you feel comfortable making tight turns at speeds up to 25-30 mph on that board then you should come. Make the call! I have no idea how good you are haha

"Yeah, you start up there so I can see how fast you go"
Looks like I might have to tighten up the trucks on my board a little to avoid the wobbs, and come hit the werewolf run with everyone! I'll never get good unless I practice.

I think that was a joke. But yeah stand up and you will go SLOW! Well worth coming out for! I went down on a board with sidewinders, you got randalls, nothen to worry about! Hit me up about that hairpin! I would love to check it out. She was probably smoken a bowl!
you should come out regardless.....if you stand up carve all of it you won't be going very fast at all, will be a good learning experience!
Agreed... my first ride at McDowell was on an Original Apex 37 (probably the furthest thing from a dh board) and I was also brand new to longboarding and still had a good time. I would recommend you come, ride the hills, meet new people, and have a good time

no you shouldnt tighten your trucks... tightening your trucks means you'll just have to get used to your board all over again.
ride mine, Chris sharp's or Munkaes you'll see
Loose is the way to go.. anywhere!
