Just get them the pics. Their pretty good about issues like that. If it was a product issue and not your fault they're all about helping out. My bro got brand new trucks just for sending them pics of his bent old ones. You could hardly tell they were bent!

No they arent garunteed but if you show them that you can bend or break their #### they dont like to see it so they will give you great deals!... i had some old style BEARS the 47degree ones and my evo got ran over by a car didnt hurt the board but bent the trucks...i send Ryan Theobald pix of em and i tryed my best to show they were bent but you couldnt even tell but he knew that a tiny bend will slow you way down so he hooked me up on my 852's and ABEC 7 bearings for 40 bucks...oh and i got to keep my old ones and i just stuck them in a hydralic press and straigtened em out haha

Well, ok, like the others said.. for cornering, it's all about the top mount. But for fun? there's nothing funner to me than my demonseed, drop-thru + dropped deck = ####### amazing ride. so stable yet so drifty, i love it to death!

Yes thats what I meant. I agree with you as well. I'm building a short a$$ drop through deck It has I good tail and nose too, for those kinda tricks. Its like 11 ply so its so stiff and so low. 65mm wheels and that things gonna be all sortza drifty!

I had a question about this, I used to ride a dropped deck and I LOOOOOOOOOOVE the drifts they come with..... u just said for cornering it's all about top mount... i never done a race before but im planning on buying a Drop Speed to practice some more and race next year, is this board bad for corners since it's a drop through?

You can corner on a drop deck just fine. It's all opinion, personal preference and riding style. I have a top mount and a drop deck and I am faster on my drop deck. People also say you can't get good slides on a top mount but once again it's all preference. I can slide my top mount when I need to just as easy as my drop deck. There is too much emphasis put on physics and theory around here most of the time. Just skate what is comfortable and more controllable to you. I was out a few weeks ago skating with some guys who race all year. They reach VERY high speeds. Not the 35MPH that most people chill at. We were talking about decks at the top of a hill. One of the guys jumped on his bud's deck to try it out. It was a drop deck and he was about to ride off to bomb the hill. Another guy asked him. What kind of deck is that? He replied "It's a piece of wood with wheels.. I dunno" and bombed the hell out of the hill. What I am trying to get across is that the whole argument gets redundant. Drop, top and drop through are all great, don't bash one because you were told or heard that it couldn't corner, slide or was less stable. My top mount is honestly no less stable than my drop platform or my drop mount deck.

thanks man, love my drifts lol I want to learn stand up slides soooooo bad but it will take some time lol one more questions if anyone can answer this it would be cool, why did they changed the deck from wood to a black finish? I mean i just don't know..... I love black btw but was wondering why

I dunno but I wish they would bring back the plain wood finish. I like the black but the plain one is better looking. I may get one of these soon. It's a really good board. Also to just add a bit more. The board you corner on and ride the best is the one you ride every day and get the feel of inside and out. The one that becomes very predictable to you. Then you can push it to that next level of speed and technical riding because you know what it's gonna do in each situation.

loving your tips and advice, I have one more for ya if you dont mind....... or ne1 lol don't wanna make u feel pressured lol.

I have been reading that the drop speed gets wheel bite on anything bigger than a 70 mm, I have reg bears that I got with landy and my In heats from the po-tang company which are 75mm.... will I be in for a nasty surprise when i put it together or is this issue reflecting older models?

You might've been reading about the previous design style. I know that riders run 76mm wheels on that board without a problem.

This will depend on a few things. Well first off I think you will be OK but that will depend on your setup. You can run even bigger wheels on that board if you want. This will more depend on if they are offset or not and by how much. If you put on center set wheels you can run some pretty big ones. I think Landy offers this deck with 85mm wheels from the factory. I haven't ridden it with those so I won't pretend to know if it's OK but I would guess you can use them or they wouldn't offer it. With an offset slalom/racing style wheel though like those Otangs I would stick to 76mm or less. You could possibly get a tiny bit of rub if you run suuuuuuper loose but I doubt it. If you stand on it in your living room and crank all your weight on it and the inside of the wheel barely touches but just barely then you'll be OK. When your moving you don't turn that deep most of the time. I have a Landyachtz Drop Hammer and I had some Mini Monsters on when I first got it. I would carve super hard on it and I did find that there was a tiny bit of rubbing going on, but nothing too bad. I couldn't get it to happen at anything over 20mph. It was just when I was pushing around and making quick U-turns. I put a set of Stimulus on it, which are not offset as deep and the issue went away. I'm just babbling at this point. I think you'll be fine because they did change the design a bit to fix bugs like that.
