The KS did good. My bro was bombing it with his randals flipped and had no issue. I have a free ride set up and was blstndwn that thing and sending big standys! Totally LOVE my freeride board!

How do you have that beast set up?

Considering doing the 42" Scimitar on Randal 180s and Green Freerides. Can't go wrong with it only being 160 after shipping.

the greens are 84a in abec 11's classic thane in the same shape as a powerball
I would not consider buying orange(reflex thane) freerides because I heard they are chattery
even though the greens are a little softer, due to the nature of the thane formula they are designed to slide smoother

Yeah I wiegh 185 and I'm very hard on my wheels so I got the orange (hardest) ones. I have no problem with chatter. Infact they slide like butter when ever I want. And they have way more grip then you would ever expect. So predictable! Dancering has the yellows, and you can ask him, he said he wanted harder and he weighs like 130. I wish they had a 90a for my heavy ars! I LOVE these wheels for freeride!

Just because a wheel is the same duro as a wheel from a different company, does not mean that it is of the same quality, 78a abec thane is much better than arbor wheels. And as far as my skill level, a lot of the guys on here can vouch for me being a talented rider, whether or not I’m better than you I can’t say, but that’s not the point. I do know what I’m talking about when it comes to setups and what works
Yes 78a wears a little quicker, but it doesn’t help that you were a rookie, I wore wheels quicker when I was first learning simply due to the use of bad form. You say you like race forms, I do too, I have a set of 70mm in 78a, they kickass, but I recommend you don’t buy them, you’d probably think they suck

First off you and i both know that longboarding ISNT about trying to call people out and challenging them like you just said to John, we are all supposed to be a happy group of friends ; not enemies( 2nd) different wheels slide better for different people and 78a is a fine duro,imo, for any type of riding. Did you know that the orange O tangs are actually a duro closer to a retro 78a? , not an 80a. I learned how to slide 78's and have rode a bunch of sets of different company 78a wheels to death and loved them. Old s9 Goddess of Speed 78a's are MONEY. Josh Rolf and Dre ride those and turned me onto them specifically for freeriding. (3rd) Why show hate to a guy who is trying to turbo charge our community and get us more respect and events. Did krackedskulls host a slide clinic here? No they didnt. Did they sponsor the pusher? No they didnt. Are they trying to plan a host another winter event and a Dh race HERE in Arizona? No they aren't. Kyle is using HIS money to try to make a company that specializing in gear for local riders. Somewhere that if you like to longboard and dont know much you can go and get the info you are searching for and get the gear that suits what your aiming for , unlike sidewalk that doesnt know anything about anything and have no interest in doing so. Well, thank you evo! I was considering the green cause they're kind of a happy medium with the duro. My current board will be going to my girlfriend, so I would like something soft enough to still pump home from school with. Since KS decks are very versatile from what I've heard, it was my first option, it's just a matter of picking a decent freeride wheel that will get me around comfortably. 42" a suitable length for freeride? Or any other recommendations for length on a freeride deck?

As for all the arguing, come on guys. Longboarding is about the stoke! No need to be rude, or anything of that nature. Getting along ftw.

Agreed! *HUGS TO EVERYONE* ! And the 42 is actually a 34 in wb on the KS. Every time I have rode the stimulis they would slide AMAZING! But seemed to just slide whenever! Not as grippy as free rides but WAY faster slide! I have heard they dont wear good, but idk for my self.

Ordered a 42 scimitar with some 81a flashbacks. I was going to get otangs, or s9 RF's, but the otangs wear too fast for the price imo. Thanks for the input Cole!
