Cops at syca"no more"?

So While we were at sycamore 5 cop SUV's came flyen down the hill at about 70! An hour later they come to the top of the hill to tell us "no more skating here boys". When we told him politly that it is not against the law to skateboard one of them flipped out! He told us if he catches us again its gonna be a poop load of citations and they're gonna take our boards. It is obstructing the flow of traffic he said! haha. How bout the cops doing 70 in a 35 no sirens no lights. all of them came for a report of a car with the keys locked in it. No need to do 70! So who is the real criminal now! Damn cops. bradshaw remember that name! he was the biggest A hole!

When you told him it wasn't against the law did you back that up with some sort of ordinance that you knew of, or do you just think that it's not against the law? I would go to the city hall, get a solid answer. If it is in your favor, then go to the police station and file a complaint. If you are wrong then skate at your own risk. Mouthing off or telling a cop "how it is" isn't smart even if you think you are right. Out on the street you are wrong no matter what.

When we originally told him it was legal, what we really asked was if there was an ordinance that prohibits us from skating there. He got mad and said we were empeeding traffic. I've had my dances with the law and know to act, but really it depends on the cop. there were 4 there 2 of which were real cool and 2 who were not. If they don't wanna hear what you have to say they won't listen no matter what.

We didn't try to tell them how it was. We just asked questions and went along with everything they asked. We didn't want any trouble or a bad rep. One was a forest ranger, Acosta, and he was a k9 unit. Bad luck for the other guys.

And this is a random road off the highway that goes down to a few ranches and a place to 4 wheel. While we were there dirtbikes and quads rode up and down the street. Not registered. didnt bother them.

Bummer dudes, especially because they were cocks about it. We just had an outlaw in Austin this weekend and it got busted but the cops were at least cool about it. Of course if there were 100 people all standing around with skateboards and it was just me and one other cop I would be nice about it too.

We need to figure out the laws and go back. As far as I know we really were not doing anything wrong. If we were rode bikers ( like bicycle) I'm sure they would have left us alone. Hell, they let them ride right down the side of the highway!

As said previously, take a look into our laws here in Arizona, and file a complaint. I did the same thing when I was given a real rough time at Cheney, and the bastard tried removing my board from my hands. I never had an issue with law enforcement until that one officer took it a little too far. Complain, and continue to be gnar. On a side note, were you doing sickamore on your KS deck? If so, how did it handle the speed? Considering snagging one, but I need it to be able to handle at least some speed.

The KS did good. My bro was bombing it with his randals flipped and had no issue. I have a free ride set up and was blstndwn that thing and sending big standys! Totally LOVE my freeride board!

i feel like we have a lot of hills we arent thinking bout... thats if sickamore doesnt work out

Bumblebee would be much easier to close off or rent out, but I'd ride it first to see what you think. Much harder than SoMo.

Harder as in much more tech, really choppy weird pavement, more difficult lines/turns to take. Not a huge difference of speed than SoMo but yeah...way different
