Re: Houston Outlaw Garage Race 10-17
Excellent race, major props to Scotty and his volunteers.
Amazing organization under the craziest of circumstances.
The HGR guys rocked and we took notes.
What else can I say, but SLAB really enjoyed one hell of night.
We'll be back.................

Re: Houston Outlaw Garage Race 10-17
Hey everybody thanks for coming out and making this so kick ass. Thanks Jen and Richie for the help with the start and finish lines.
I messed up pretty good. I redid all the math on the point totals and I got them all straight except Luke Pluchinsky. This poor guy never had his name called during the award give away and actually got 6th. I was 100 points off on his score. You have a set of wheels waiting for you at Carve, sorry dude.
Ok here are the results:
1-Zac Sharp 1000pts (perfect) ------Rayne Forge
2-Scotty Carve 970pts -------ALC special Johnny Rad deck
3-Matt Swamp #### 940pts-------- Purple Tangs
4-Chris Ellis 930pts-------- Green Swirl STRs
5-Ben Jammin 860pts------- Green Big Zigs
6-Luke Pluchinsky 850pts------ gyped proper
7-Sean Cook 840pts -------Yellow Stimulus
8-Clayton Nalley 810pts -------Bones Super Reds
9-Harper the Harpoon 770pts -------Unit Skate Tool
10-Josh Davis 750pts
11-tie- Glynn Lonesome Woods and Jake Lil Bro 720pts
12-David Pepe 670pts
13-Tyler T-pain 660pts
14-Steve last guy down 650pts
15-Jay 640pts
16-tie- Brandon James and Travis Dennard 620pts
17-Jake Horne 610 pts
4 guys didn't make the last race (3:00 am) and one didn't have a time trial result.
Kelly 560pts
Tom 470pts
Brad Lee 460pts
Mike 440pts
Reagan Hughes 340pts
Priya and Chubs both were hurt in the event. Hope ya'll get better soon.

Re: Houston Outlaw Garage Race 10-17
So, the time trials were super cool. There was a three way tie for first in Customs and all the other times behind it were cluttered. Zac killed everyone by 2 secs in Blue Cross Blue Shield. Chris was all by himself for 2nd. Then everyone else immediately behind.
I want to have more time trials. I have two timers now that I bought for the race. I think the next session I'm going to bring these bad boys out and a notebook and start keeping times.

Aria, great photo shoot man, you need to visit your bro in SA somtime. We'll show you around the SLAB spots and stuff you w/ mexican food.
Also the girl who brought Panera to all the skaters, you did a beautiful thing. Thank you very much.
Not sure if anyone noticed, but we had a guy shooting HQ video. When the DVD becomes available we will send copies to Scotty.

Re: Houston Outlaw Garage Race 10-17
Hotdam good times in H-town this weekend! Thanks Scotty for hosting, you really dida great job running this event. And thanks to you and Zac for the tip on the Blue Hawgs, they probably saved my ass at Customs. Ya, this infant geezer was just a bit nervous about Customs, ok, really nervous, ok, nervous as all get out! But the sucker ended up being my favorite stop on the circuit. Go figure.
So, I'm still looking for a way to figure a handicap for my age/weight, ok just age. Let's say 50 pts for every year over 40 (=350), and lets figure -100 pts. for every year under 20.
Holy crap I beat Zac! Yahoo! Where are my wheels?
All kidding aside, thanks again. SLAB is looking forward to our opportunity to host. One other thing, Chris Yandall will be skating with SLAB the first week of November. He's the "Scogging" master coming from SoCal to visit family and skate with friends.
