Re: Houston Outlaw Garage Race 10-17
I didn't even mention how cool Texan crews are. SLAB paid my costs on four sets of wheel to give away(and now volunteering to pay for my mistake! Over the top, man) and ALC gave away the special Johnny Rad deck(thanks Lance, but its no replacement for you. You gotta make it out next time or risk hurting our feelings).
Kelly, hey man, what was the handicap? 10 points for every year over thirty? I think we both just won! Congrats, what we believe in is so much more important than 'reality'.
Luke, you have to pick up your wheels in Houston, bring your mom to confirm your identity, and fill out our 'delayed acceptance of prize' form in triplicate(its only 35 pgs). Just kidding, I can send them to you. Just give a call at the shop 713-868-0028 and they will take down your info. Any set of wheels except Big 80s (we are almost out and they are a fortune, sorry to be cheap).
What a good vibe went down that night! We will do it again and try to reach out to ALC again. They showed up for the race before this one (which was an abortion, no offence to all my partially aborted friends) and didn't really show for this one(Matt and Josh excluded).
I don't think Dallas will ever show, their loss.

I want to have more time trials. I have two timers now that I bought for the race. I think the next session I'm going to bring these bad boys out and a notebook and start keeping times.
Hell yea, the time trials were my favorite part.. I'd love to do it again and see what I can get.. I'm also curious as to my times on the two garages we raced! Let us know if you need any more heads for some time trials.. lonesome woods would be happy to come out.
thanks again for an awesome time, and thanks aria for some badass pictures!

Re: Houston Outlaw Garage Race 10-17
hmmm... i think SA is gonna have a harder time setting up a race because, unlike houston and austin, we dont have a longboard shop in here, therefore we dont have "corporate" sponsorship, which houston and austin have... so scotty, do you wanna expand your business? lets talk about it!
go fuuuuuck yourself!!

I agree. If not SLAB, maybe ALC. Either way, I can't wait until the next race!

Re: Houston Outlaw Garage Race 10-17
I went hunting around downtown for garages and around a coorporate business park on the northwestish side of town. The best looking garage was right accross the street from the greyhound station and had several cameras I could see on street level and no No NO signs all over the place. There are other gayrodges but their are also mini biker cop sub stations within shouting distance. SA is really just a small town with small rodges. Bussiness park parking lots we will concentrate on.
As far as a skate shop we have one. Its Tom the Texas Bombers garage. He has enough stuff to start off with. Before long we will need a permanent location due to the rapid growth of this craziness.
We do have places, we jus gotta fine em.

I've got atleast 4 "major" hills that you'd get lost on.
We've got a subdivision that has some major potential.
The (Whore)subdivision hill is around a mile long, the first hill at the start is around 40mpg (can be plus), and 4 to 5 simi hills(35 or so tops) all the way to the end.
One hell of a walk w/out shuttle though.

well, if you just coast down the hill, i'm sure your car's fuel economy will be better than 40.
