Just wondering what the details are. Is there gonna be a demo? Maybe a campus cruise? Thinking I will be taking off that day and checking it out. Maybe toss some $$$ at the x-devils for a membership.
go to xdevils.com to sign up. the ROUGH schedule is gonna be them helping push longboarding as a means of transportation and trying to get people interested at the booth from 10- 2ish , then we will do a club cruise and probably head out to the Rio Salado garage or the underneath parking behind Mill for night riding
Well schucks, thats right up my alley, considering that IS my form or transportation. Other than carpool to work, bus or light rail, the longboard is all I use. Can't wait!!

It goes under the 202 bridge and has huge sweeping turns. You get going probably about 30-40MPH if you get a good tuck going.

Tempe police dont like you on that road, and there is a substation right under the 202. Go for it if you like! Been asked to leave numerous times. However they dont mind the parking lot under the 202 for cruising and sliding.
Really? I have never had a problem there! I don't go when there is event parking there ( thats just stupid). I get sick of walking back up quick though and just skate back to tempe.

We used to roll the hill and the little parking area under the freeway. Cops would stop once in a while (during the parking area sesh) and would thank us for staying off the road. Then one day he told us to leave because a few peeps were rolling the hill and ruined it for everybody (cops words not mine) we stayed away for a year or so. We recently went back to the parking area with no trouble.
The road Im talking about is if you go East onto Curry off MIll (by Marquee) then take your first right, the road that goes down to two parking areas by the sand volleyball courts.
Hmm... I've been there about 4 times and I've never seen any police. The parking garages around campus though are a different story... I hate running from cops.
