I dont know about you guys, but i think its about time we have more longboard stores around town. Sure, the skate shop right in front of my house has longboards, but i mean i want a store that has better companies that just sector 9 and arbor. Sure, Wild Child Sports is a GREAT retailer, siper cool guy and awesome riders, but it is time for us arizonians to rise up against the oppression and DEMAND more longboard retail stores, or at least more choic es of boards, trucks and wheels at your local skate shop.
Someday I'll be opening my own store. I dont know if it will be here in A.Z. but once I get the loot, I'll have my own store wherever I live at the time. I've already started saving for it. Problem is opening a store is ALOT of overhead as where opening a online store is much cheaper.
If you want local shops to carry more longboard stuff then you have to talk to locally owned stores like sidewalk surfer. They only have one store and would prob. be more open to it then let's say Industrial which is a "corporation" eventhough a small one.
I got a local surf shop to carry more LB stuff back in jersey but I knew the owner pretty well as I had been going there since I was a little kid.

Local skate shops have turned to crap. They don't market to longboarders in the slightest bit....if things got really hot for kyle, and business went amazingly well over the next 6 months or something there was talk of maybe opening a shop but as jerzey said, it's a lot of money and somewhat of a gamble. I'm all for pushing the community but def want to shop at places marketed towards longboarding I.E wildchildsports.com or whatever jerzey has planned for the future. I just gotta let the folks know that we do have a local retailer who sells ONLY longboard stuff and not just Sidewalk Surfer who has as much longboard knowledge as the average shortboard skater. My buddy went in there one time to get something(before wcs) and asked the name of a few different boards just to test them and they didn't know.

WCS seems promising. I'll shop there when I get back.
Kyle will beat other longboard shop's prices (sidewalk surfer) and has a greater knowledge of the topic. Also anytime anyone as questions of shopping through WCS you can talk to myself, luber, cole, justin, or jordan. Support local biz that knows what's up!

Locally kyle is where it's at for sure. Supporting the local scene is loyalty.. Loyalty is friendship.. and friendship Is what I think Longboarding is all about. Outisde of the thrill and personal enjoyment you get out of it.
BTW you should tell him I ask if he could check into carrying EW products
I need new Slide A wheels
Now that I'm not close, Ordering would take a bit more time and who wants to wait for parts?
These are literally the definition of slide wheel.
They also have an amazing product which I fully support. If you havent ridden any of the boards I have a 1st Gen Supercharger (without wheel wells which I never needed) sitting on 76mm 82A superballs and a 35.5 drifter with Slide A's. I'll gladly let anybody rip them.
They are great boards and they are both a few yrs out of date. So based in the theory that products get better with time and more R&D then the new ones are prob better.
Never the less, great company, great product, great prices and just all around gnarly.
I'll buy alot of product from him then.
Spread the stoke and support the Local scene!

I'll see what I can do next time I talk to him. EW does make great products but isn't quite as popular as some of the other brands but if he can get in with them, the more the merrier.

I def, disagree on the popular part they just arent as popular in the DH scene but I think when it comes to tech sliding, they are prob one of the most popular brands. Not trying to argue of course, just throwing my opinion. They might be more well known on the East coast too. I have noticed not too many people out west here know who they. I had a couple kids ask me about it already.
Plus who wants to go with popularity? besides the fact it'll sell more.
But if thats the case then sector 9 should be top on the list of stocked boards like every other yuppie board shop that sells longboards.

I beg to differ, EW is extremely popular and a def one of the bigger longboard companies out there. All in all, someone makes a business for only a couple reasons....one...money, and two for the love of what they're selling. I think Kyle's goal in this is to yes, make profit by selling stuff, but to give and sell the community what they need and ask for. You'll notice that WCS doesn't even carry sector 9 =p Again, I'll talk to him about EW, cause we all love superballs....especially blstndwn...except take away the super part =)

I have the race formula wheels and they are ok.
I'd rather ride superballs all day.
I don't really agree with the boards. I like the bomb hills but thats about it.
I'd ride the supercharger, mystery model or boomerang before it though.
I'm not trying to hate. I wouldnt hate someone cause they ride S9.
I'm just saying i'd purchase anything EW before S9.
Just a better, well thought out product in my opinion.
Designed, built and shredded by a man who had enough devotion to turn his NYC loft (which if you've ever been in one you know how tiny they are) Into a workshop to build boards and work his way up to a respectable company.
With that said I also like other companies. EW is just my favorite.
So please kyle stock his stuff!

I love s9's wheels for how smooth their drift is
the bombhills deck is super solid, and the trylam is a super fun deck as well
that being said, I think that EW is a badass company, I love their wheels and the superglider is one of my favorite do it all boards
Soooooooooooo sick of the only board I see around is a S9. Also it seems everytime you go into a store around here, nobody knows what they're talking about or selling you. You know the bones "shaker" cleaning thingy? (the bearing cleaner bottle) I asked if they had one today, and the dude trys to hand me speed cream. WTF?? <<< by the way this is by far the best emoticon on here
