Default Spots near Austin, TX?

What's up? I've been skating downtown for a couple years now, and I'm looking for something that's out of the hustle and bustle of the city (or something...). Hills, bowls, ditches, smooth cruising runs, whatever.

Anybody got some sweet spots to share?

I will only say that Southwest is good, but will require lots of searching on your part to find the cherry runs. I cannot say anything further, I believe this transmission is being monitored - long live the revolution! - Out.

Give us a call over at Sundae Skates (512 428 609). We've got a bunch of spots we can show you.

Good call on that too. Come out for a Monday night if you can make it. It's just city skating, but you'll meet all the guys who know where the hills are. I might not be out there this week (injured hip) but there will definitely be a presence and Dorian from Sundae Skates will be out for sure.

Anyway, I'd be down for Monday nights except that I have work then, usually until about 1 AM or so. So I can't make it. I think I've met the ALC guys once or twice, though. My roommate used to go to the Monday night sessions all the time. He hasn't been in awhile, though.

I was just wondering if anybody new some good scenic spots. Like, outside downtown. Something quiet (?). Getting tired of crazy drivers.

Anybody up for a skate this weekend?

Totally, Big View has a fun sidewalk you can corner sesh. It switchbacks but the first right hander is the best. Are you regular or goofy?

Yeah that one fall with you did the initial damage then I fell hard at Water Tower, hipped it then ended up flipping over my head and landing back on my feet to slide down the hill a bit farther standing up. It was cool, but I won't be able to skate for another couple of days.

West isn't the most fun, and is best to hit up at night. What day/time are you going to be in?

my buddy thats coming with me doesn't like going fast. he does more freeride stuff. i do but my definition of fast may not match yours. no hills in louisiana. i went 40 in athens alabama i came close to pissing myself. i had a vanguard with venom 81's tho. if they have a nice long gradual run for all of the above, that you know about, that would be tight.
