SLAB Announcement - Houston, Austin, SA & DFW
Ya HGRz, TexasBomber is right on. I spoke w/ my bud Ed this afternoon and he said he got some really good footage of the Houston garage outlaw races last weekend, I'll have it in my hot little hands on Monday. But it will have to go through the production and editing process before release but that won't take too long don't worry.
You guys also heard Tom announce the Wild Samoan, Chris Yandall, master of "Pedidextrous" boarding and "Scogging" extraordinaire will be coming to SA to visit family and friends of SLAB.
I'm working on a schedule that's shaping up like this:
They don't know this yet but calling all SLABrz, and SA Gnarly Roadbombers and all other Texicans who want to beat it to San Antonio we are gonna change up our weekly skate a bit. Let's plan an early sesh as usual, probably best held at NCR. But instead of our standard Wed. night garage session we're going to move it to Thursday night. After that we will meet at my office and hit the Circle once then keep on skating downtown to Mitierras for some Mexican food and other vibations.
We'll be bringing Chris over to Houston on Friday (11/6) to show us his form of skating that keeps this soon to be 55 year old World Champion (1975) in better shape than most of us/me will ever be in. Don't worry we won't have to push him around to the next garage in a wheelchair. In fact he may want to wake up your ol LDPrz and push not drive cross town to where ever you guys want to take him. Ed will be back to document this on the vid.
Sunday is a big day! Starting at or before sunrise we hit Evans and Canyon golf. Then we're off to Austin to hit some cones (for me that's literally) with Texas Outlaw Borto and his gang (actually it's Eddie's gang), wrapping it up with an afternoon of whatever the ALC crew may have in store. If time allows a garage or two and then beer, fish tacos , beer ,beer at Wahoos.
D/FW BOMBSQUAD, man, you guys got to make it down cuz I think I burned up all of Chris's time. He may still want to visit his Family.
Whew, I'm exhausted already!
So you guys make plans to be there, where ever that may be, and get ready to Scog!

I agree with Aria. (LDP in Houston + rude motorists) - decent sidewalks = death
Now, if somebody were to, say, tow us behind their car with rope, I'd be down for that. Which garages are yall planning on hitting when yall get to Houston?
Life's a bitch. And I'm her pimp.

We want to hit Customs, Edwards, and Precash for sure. Hoping you guys will set a schedule of when and where we skate (your garages, your town) We are up for whatever you guys think will be best. We really hope to see everybody on November 6 (friday nite and into the early morning)

Like Houston, you know what's best in your town. We should be down for (almost) whatever you and Dorian throw at us.
Have you seen this..

I'm always down for skating with new folks. We should definitely hit Customs. I really, REALLY, REALLY like TransCo. I vote we hit that one.

Re: SLAB Announcement - Houston, Austin, SA & DFW
Agreed. BCBS, PreCash, and TransCo are clustered together. Y'all could pump to these garages if y'all wanted to.I've never been to Jesus Saves or Death Spiral, so that's worthy enough of a trip downtown. Plus, Hobby Center is down there, too.

Hey Hous. guys, as much as I'd like to hit a bunch of your garages, gnarly ones at that, I want to make sure we put a sesh together that will encorouge all Houston area longboarders to come out and ride with Chris. I think Scotty told me of one of the stops last weekend was one where we didn't have to worry about getting busted. Maybe the 5th or 6th garage, can't remember the name. If there's a no-bust garage with a flat transition or a big flat top floor for the Scog master to show us his stuff, I tink would be cool. Let's see about starting mellow and ending with Customs would be cool wit me.
