oakey eastbound between maryland and eastern
large one-lane (each direction), usually empty except for rushhour, there's 2 stop signs half way down BUT they are very small streets..maybe have like one dude posted and you'll be fine..
also if oakey is too busy, go one small street north to 'Bracken' it runs from 13th street (just east of maryland) to eastern...MUCH less traffic..unsure of stop signs though
Desert Inn from Lamb to Nellis
as you are heading eastbound on DI, it turns to lamb at boulder..go through the light and the very first street on the right is Desert Inn..this runs all the way to nellis no stop signs. its a LARGE two lane road (each direction) with dirt on the sides..the road has seen better days, and there's a good cruising grade to it, maybe 1/2 mile..little shorter maybe?..it would be REAL good for tight slalom
Sahara (or Charleston) westbound from Hollywood to the bottom
wide one or two lane roads decent traffic, but should be fine during off peak hours..this is maybe a 1/2-3/4 mile and looks like you really get going with the right set up..this will make a KILLER sliding hill
harmon eastbound from mountain vista to nellis
this is a steep LITTLE hill...i wouldn't go out of your way to hit it..nice pavement, little traffic, but it's maybe only 200 yards or so...150 maybe...it IS nice and steep with a bunch of runout though...
Reunion Drive (the road to the anthem park)
instead of making your first left onto reunion when you get into anthem (via eastern) go past that intersection, reunion wrap around , make that 2nd left onto reunion and you can hit some decent speed from the first drop off to the turn off to the anthem park...and there's a bike lane
also when you're leaving.. or maybe when you're coming into anthem via eastern south, if you look west, there looks to be a nice curvy path/trail that would good for a run or three
that's about all i've got...
does anyone know of any little-used streets running of mount charleston or sunrise mountain?
hope this helps
