I am looking to get back into boarding. I skated a little bit a few months ago, but almost got hit by car. (guy pulled up to a stop sign looked at me, waited a second and then just turned right at me. I decided to not hit a car at 25+mph so I attempted to bail because I couldn't stop right and hit the ground rolling)

My girl and I are just really looking for some chill spots to learn more. She used to snowboard, and I haven't skated since I was a teen. I am just having a real hard time finding places in San Antonio just to skate.

We were considering fairoaks ranch for a few bombs, but I'm still nervous about skating since the accident a few months ago. I need to get ahold of some pads to protect my unflexable bones, but I was just looking for a nice calm place to get some practice in. I am back to the point of just being able to barely be on the board.. so any place is good enough for me. Em is a better skater than I am.. and I would love to start taking her out again now that its cooling down.

im from austin, the ALC forum is good, they have weekly sessions so go to those if youre in austin on a sunday or monday

we get together at least twice a week. just today i saw DH_Robs hit 51 just outside austin. and we had a race a month or so ago. we typically go to hills, but people break off to their disicplines... im downhill only as of now, but i tried a two-tiered truck today, and thought it was ridiculously fun. i think gullwing makes them, anyway gunna have to get me some of those...

Hey ya'll, I just started longboarding yesterday, after a few years of skateboarding hiatus. If anyone is ever up, I'm always down for riding (SA downtown garages, whatever). Anyone at UTSA, there's an awesome hill by lot 13.

Hey Zeinert, I'm at UTSA. Message me and maybe we can go riding together. I'll have to go check out that hill by lot 13, never been out there. Sucks about how damp the pavement's been lately, huh?

I live in austin but my parents and brother still live in Tomball. Where is that hill you are talking about? Our house is on one of the highest hills in the houston area and you can see high school kids skating all of the time. Its supposed to be one of the best hills in the area, but thats not saying much.

I go to tx state twice a week for school so I'll ride with you. I mostly ride on campus but Im down for any hill. I own a longboarding shop in SW Austin so im pretty familiar to the sport if you need any help on your hardware being new to the sport.

yea im from UTSA too. i hit up that hill by parking lot 13 last weekend. when we were riding away the campus police stopped us bc they were looking for someone on campus and were cool about it

im from houston and i know a couple of parking garages there we used to ride, but dont know of any here.

What's up everyone.
I'm from Houston and usually ride there. Right now I'm in Afghanistan, but in about 2 days I'll be back in TX for a 15 day leave.

Brit and I are planning on doing lots of skating and whatnot, one of our planned stops is Austin.
I wanted to know, how are the hills in SM?

Or if anyone knows any good hills, possible not too far from Houston, or in the Hill Country, Just looking for places to ride without having to drive 16 hrs back to NM
