San Antonio Skate Organization?
For all of you SATXers, we really should try to organize a bit much like Austin and other cities have done. This would be an easier way for us to get sessions together, set up events, or exchange notes on spots, hills, etc. I know I can't be the only LDPer out there, but it sure does feel like it. I think a multi-discipline club would be great. We could find a place easy enough to get together monthly, bi-monthly, or weekly. I've seen a few guys out on decks, but I am usually without board or headed in another direction. So what do you think?
PM if you have any ideas on organizing. We could make San Antonio just as much of a force as other city clubs.

Re: San Antonio Skate Organization?
Hey Parson, kelbobber and I are both in San Antonio and met up here on the fish, and have been riding a few spots lately. All together I know about 9 or 10 longboarders who ride semi often atleast that would probably be interested. Although most of them aernt as "gung ho" about longboarding as I am, I think itd be awesome to get a crew together and do some runs. LDPing, cant say Ive done much but I like to pump on my dervish and would be interested in your spots. Send me a PM and we can see about setting something up.

Re: San Antonio Skate Organization?
I haven't really bombed hills...I've been longboarding for 10 months after a 12 year hiatus from the shorties. I picked up LDP because of wanting to lose weight to get in better shape for bombing hills. I'm def. in. I've got to start somewhere.

I think we ought to get together a couple of times and ride, of coarse, and see who all can come and on what day/s would be best for all to meet regularly. So far its the four of us, The Fab Four, who have been on Fish communicating. If ya'll want we could meet today at my office around six and give it a talk. Maybe after a couple of get togethers we could take up Reece and go up to Austin and check out their organization.
The Fab 4 are Parson, Sly, TxBomber, Kelbobber

Regretfully, can't make it. My wife (teacher) is working late to get her classroom ready. I have the rugrats until 7:00 and it would be 30 minutes to dark by the time I got into the city. Wednesday night or Thursday night I can do for sure (in town or out)
Great bombing run last night, no one got hurt!!!

Re: San Antonio Skate Organization?
Damn did I miss out?? Where did you guys go?? I hit up Alameda circle/Broadmore last night again, around 8-10pm. skated from my house through olmos park and up and down broadmore on my dervish. Lots of OP'ers walking there dogs wondering who the hell is this?!?! lol. But about tonight, Ive got to be at work at 4 and wont be out until about 9-10 so a no go for me. Ive been using google maps along with toproute.com to try and find some better runs. We should start recording all of our spots and pooling the info together. Let me know how the meeting goes tonight and whats decided.

Wednesday or Thursday sound great too. I know what you mean about getting the room ready. My wife and I are both teachers, and I'm trying to squeeze out as much skating as I can before work begins.

OPers are a strange lot. I think that they forget that there is a whole city around them and that they are the minority in the larger scheme of things. I ended up in Alamo Heights by accident two years ago. I didn't know anything about SATX, and my rental finder found a great deal for me.

Anyone hit up Alamo Ranch yet?
Sorry I'm just now checking in.
I have been to lazy to sign up.
My girlfriend got me a pintail from a comp out in SM: Entropy.
I've been getting better with speed, and now THINK I could ride with some of you guys.
Oh and I'm living off Rittiman & I-35.
Night.
