ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, drag queens and transexuals, i have found the ultimate location for our next race. once again an outlaw race, but helmets, full padding, eye protection, and shirts+ jeans required. leathers if you got em'. this race will be much faster the last weeks. speeds between 30- 50 mph, depending on headwind, start off, and other stuff. this is in glenwood hills. here are the streets: starts at the top of skyline ct. ne, then turns left onto sunset canyon dr. ne, and finishes at the intersection of sunset canyon and montgomery. this is a very fast race, with difficult turns for the speed we will be going at, and it will be VERY intense racing. people will be stationed at each turn with a radio to ensure safety, and the entry fee will still be $5. this is a relatively short course, but very fast and intense. heats and prize money will vary depending on the amount of people that come. tell anyone you know that rides any kind of board to come to this. they don't have to race, but at least come to spread publicity. if you, or anyone you know is willing to shuttle people back to the top, then give me a call at 505-850-0957. and a new addition has been added to these races, $1 from every entry fee will go into a big pot thing, and at every race points will be awarded, using a super special system i made, and the person with the most amount of points at the end of these race, will get a LARGE prize, and a chipped flywheel. points from the first race will be aplied, and here are the current rankings:
gabe: 10 pts
devon: 9 pts.
bear: 8 pts
shawn:7 pts
alex: 6 pts
ross: 5 pts
kris:4 pts
ian:3 pts
armando: 2 pts
jory: 1 pt
this next race will be on sunday, 8/17/08.
for questions, or if you want to race, or know someone who wants to race, pm me.
hope to see you there, hope to see you race.
next race: banked slalom at harper

15 races! Wow. I know of a few good places in the east mountains. Some are pretty long.
Tiana is going to buttboard, so am I. So who else wants to race laying down?
It won't be official buttboarding, more like boom-less street luging.
Well I think before we throw buttboarding into the racing mix we need to find people who know how to, safely. Its not just sitting on a board and going down a hill.
cept the pavement gwts a wee bit rough after montgomery. and as for a turnout, i have no idea, if you are going to attend the skyline outlaw race, then contact me IMMEDIATELY!!!!!!!!!!!! hoping for a good turnout though, because this will be one of the best downhill races, as it is fast, intense, and only one stop sign that applies to our course.

I will be there, racing.
ps. My new board will be done, but Randal and Daddies presents for us won't be here till monday, so I'll be using the same trucks and wheels.
I'll be going as well. Alex if you give me a ride, I'll tell you where it is. I would like to get there at 8 and then we should all meet at nine, so we can beat the heat.

I'm going to be showing up very early, like 8 I guess. Because I want time to practice rinding my new deck, and tune it in. I'll be done with it today, but I won't get a chance to ride it till Sunday....
Earlier is better, less people around, less traffic, and less heat.
you can beat the heat, but not the church going rush. i'll be there around 8:30 ish to set stuff up. bring soda. or snacks. and directions are go all the way up montgomery, until you get to sunset canyon. then go up sunset canyon and turn right on skyline. park at the top, and if anyone is willing to shuttle people back to the top, that would be great

I can shuttle people, but only four at a time. I will also try and bring a first aid kit of sorts ... just in case.
thanks, and first aid is good. i will try to bring sodas, or water. and i will be taking some nice pics with my dads old film camera, cuz he wants me to use it. he used to be almost pro photographer, until he realized it did'nt make enough money, so its a nice camera.

Swank. I love film cameras.
Also, Devon and I were talking about more ways of promoting Team Albuquerque and our outlaw races. First off, we should try an get in touch with timeship racing and see if they want to come check us out and even join us for some skating. Also, we should try to get to know the skate shops better and try to see what they can do for us. There are a few events that go on during the year that are primarily aimed at street skaters but maybe we could get these events to include longboarding (DH, slalom, sliding). I'm sure if we introduced some street skaters to sliding we could find some common ground and work from there to support each other. Anywho, those are just a few ideas on how to grow the scene and get some support for future events.
