Sorry, but I must say, many people over use the word like, but now it is being typed. You would not type uh,uh when you cannot think of anything to say would you? Like is used to compare similar things. I am just doing my job as the grammar police, to keep the English language intact.

Can anyone give a location on that ditch near Friendswood? I live there and have just gotten into the world of Longboarding so I would love to have a local place to mess around.

the road you're talking about is called hope village i think. there's a nice 10'-12' ditch off of hope village. i live in the neighborhood right off of hope village. if you ever want to skate that ditch lemme know I'll be down anytime. I've seen a ditch from the street on 518 right next to bay area blvd. i haven't gotten a chance to skate it yet but i will soon. and i also drove by a ditch thats about a mile long thats waaaayy down hwy 3 near the palmer highway, it wasn't too tall but it looked like some of the spots could be pretty skateable. I'll get back on here and let everybody know how they are once i skate em. if you want more specifics i can post google maps pics and directions for each ditch, i'd like to see specifics on those other ditches

how about i just tell you my comp is wiggin out and i cant upload pictures for some reason. You're right the ditch doesn'texactly look skateable from google maps i just looked at it. When you're goin southwest on 2351, (like from the freeway) and you take a left onto Hope Village you should drive about 300-400 ft. and come up on a gas station called hope village food store. There's also a small strip center there. Park in the strip center parking lot (i suggest close to the road) and across the street is the ditch. give me a pm if you want my number i can show you it in person if you have any trouble finding it. It's skateable, its about 8ft wide and 12-13 feet tall. And if you have big enough wheels there is a black track thats next to it and you can ride off the black track through some grass and then into the ditch for some extra speed.
ALSO: the ditch in the new neighborhood off Bay Area Blvd. is AWESOME! lemme know if you want specific directions

cool cool. the ditch off hope village is a good one to hit as long as its not actually in the middle of raining. As for the other 'friendswood' ditch (i think its technically in league city) off of bay area between 518 an 528 usually has water at the bottom. You can skate around the water and its still a good ditch just because of its sheer enormousness. I've hit it about 5 separate times and i still haven't seen it without a puddle of water at the bottom.

Lots of traffic next to the little ditch and the bigger on has water that you don't want to loose your board in.
Here's some pics.
The bigger one

watch that water

The little one that is fun to hit as long as your there

cool cool, got some picks. I'm surprised i didn't see you out there takin those im out there practically 24/7. give me a call next time you're out there 7133041725.
Oh and also that short ditch continues further down the road in the direction that you took that pick. its more mellow but its easier to practice tricks that you might want to learn in a ditch. and its also easier to ride off the sidewalk and into it because the change in angle isn't so drastic.
