Sunday Morning 1st Light - Babcock Rd @ Cielo Vista

I'm tired of driven it, I gotta ride it. I drove it one more time last night. Start at Cielo Vista and head towards Kyle Seale is a nice looking 1 mile run of smooth and wide. It's gotta be a 40mph run for those working their way up. Very nice gradual turns cept the one at the steepest drop has city tits reflectors you won't want to tangle with.

C'mon dudes let's get a good sesh out here. We need shuttle and spotters too. I think I can hustle a couple of friends how bout ya'll?

Hell, even big boy here is gonna get some pads and extra cover to check speed ability on this one.

Kelbobber, Slyboy here, was checkin out that route on the maps. I cant find Cielo Vista leading into Kyle Seal, I found a Cielo Vista leading into babcock though (near the dominion), and found some nice high terrain in the area.

Heres a nice little run I found, about as long as you were talking about.

Just read the thread title more closely and realized you said babcock. Sweet. Sunday morning?

Well its 5:40 in the a.m. and I'm lookin for my skate buds and they're no where to be found. I went out to Babcock Sat. morning about 7:15 and made a few runs from Scenic Loop in. My cous meet me for a couple then clocked me at 35 or so. It was not my fastest run.

I'm leavin in a few minutes to get out there for 1st light like originally planned. Hope to see some of use guys there. If not, sweet dreams.

Man sorry Kelly, havnt been riding lately, a lot of work and stayin up late leaves me encompassatated (sp?) until atleast noon. Lets see what kinda weather this hurricane thing coming our way brings and we'll figure out some days to ride.

Celio vista is too rough to skate, there's not much of a hill, and you'd get killed the way people drive on it. Babcock from boerne stage is alright, but there's better spots in the area. I'm down to skate next time you guys want to, I'll show you some spots.

Young frog of death, I agree that Cielo Vista is too rough, wouldn't skate it in my right mind. Why don't you go ahead and inlighten us in case you get flattened like your namesake?

the best hill i know of ends when golf canyon road meets stone oak parkway. it is two lanes both ways separated by a median so you don't have to worry about oncoming traffic. it was recently repaved and there are street lights so you can skate at night. i never tried the hill on my speed board but i have hit 50 on my luge. i think it is about a mile long and there is a nice flat part at the end to slow down.

Fatrat Im looking up that spot on google maps, Ive found where golf canyon rd meets stone oak, are you riding down gold canyon or on stone oak itself? That whole area has a lot of hills. My friend told me about a hill near stone oak and huebner called crooked arrow, its got like a 6% grade when I looked it up on toproute and is supposed to be fast. You should come out and ride with some of us fatrat, send me a pm.
