August 27th, saturday, 9am to 1pm. Slalom, mini DH and cross country
its nothing big, just a little race to get the kids from skate school stoked on other kinds of skateboarding.
best part, its FREE!

I'd be up for Sept. 27th if that's the date. I fly in to ALB for business on Friday 26th and would stay an extra day to skate mini downhill for a few hours since that's my speed right now.
i'm there. just got off the phone with david, the race is SEPTEMBER 27th, and members of team abq who attend will recieve points based on placement, and performance. be there, or be circle!

yes i don't know what i was thinking...Sept. 27th...duh. thanks for correcting me bear.
if you guys are planning on down, you should plan on staying the whole day, we can show you some other hills around santa fe that are a little more gnar.

Hey, if you can take photos that don't blow the spot but show the skating, snap some and send me an event report! You're skating in the Moab of longboarding, I swear!

take st. francis dr. north out of town(st. francis turns into the 285) to the 599 exit. take 599 for a few miles and get off at the las campanas/nopal exit. go right when you get off the exit, then a immediate left onto the frontage road. follow the signs to Aldea. Go right on Via Tessera, its a small rd so keep a lookout for it. drive up via tessera for a few minutes and look for skateboards.
if you are coming from ABQ, get off the I-25 at St. Francis dr. exit and take that all the way through town. or you can take the 599 exit before that and avoid going through santa fe, then you will come into Aldea from the other way.
and ebasil, taking photos is no prob. the propery owner's son is a member of skate school so he is ok with us having events there as long as everybody signs a waiver.

I doubt that I (Brandon) can make it, but if I can, will there be a "old guy" division.
