not necessarily bad to skate after it rains. but water does make it a hell of a lotta slide going on. so be carefull about that. and avoid puddles. puddles might kill your bearings.

re: San Antonio LongBoarders - SLAB!
The plan for saturday is as follows: Babcock @ 6:00 to warm up. Then to mordor. Then to Iron Horse. Then to kyle seale to finish the loop. It'll be dark by then, kyle seale should be lit. Anyways, we can hop onto cielo vista to the springs to work that turn (and not wipe out if it's dark and then go to UTSA/The rim to slide around. Grab food, then hit the garages. If there's any energy left we'll head over to evans/huebner &stone oak till we can stand anymore. The plan will only change in terms of the order in which the dh runs are done. I'll paddle a friggin boat across an ocean of matt's tears to get to iron horse if that's what it takes. Ben, I'll give you a ride for the whole sesh if you want bro, our bad for making you drive all the way out there.
just so it doesn't get lost
caleb: hey man which board did you go with? did you get a helmet/gloves? if you have to pick between the two get the gloves and you can keep borrowing my half shell.
kelly: PAPER!

So I get out of work tomorrow at 6:30 and have to head downtown after that to work on a group project......... This school thing really cuts into my skate time.

My ass and wrists/palms got into a fight with the "WET" asphalt. And the Asphalt won
It was pretty wet. I was riding and came to a cross walk. A guy and a girl stopped to let me pass. I stopped. kicked the board out in front of me and landed on my ass. They thought it was the funniest ####. Then they come back around a second time and laugh........B a s t a r d s

Jake i went with the earthwing widerglider. I like it a lot! especially the kicktail in the back i can monover around stuff well. I took it down a small hill at our art building. Luke what speed is that hill? i know its no more than like 15mph
I bought a helmet from dorain for 10 dollars....compared to yours its like a bicycle helmet from walmart. But i guess thats why it was only 10 bucks. You get what you pay for. I havent got gloves yet. Wish i had some tonight. But if you guys can hook it up. I can get some gloves

any helmet is better than no helmet for sure especially if you're just cruising you don't need anything bombproof.
that's sweet that you got the superglider. i like the way that board looks, but I've never had a chance to ride one. seems pretty versatile...what trucks did you get?
I have velcro and gorilla glue and some small corian tiles, somebody probably has some big ones, or you can grab em from Home Depot...pick up some work glove for like 10 bucks and you got gloves man.
luke: epic saturday skate session to end all epic saturday skate sessions?!? count me in for sure. vanessa will probably shuttle for us most of the night, she wants to learn how to skate so we'll need to head to UTSA or somewhere really mellow so she doesn't get too board, she can't even push yet but hey its a fair trade for a shuttle.
peace

So yall aernt gonna be doing your saturday sessions anymore? Jake be sure to make sure she is on flats only, I wouldnt put her on any hills, not even a slope if shes never even been on a bored before. Got the FSM in today, my old paris plates dont fit on it so I had to put the randals on it no big deal though.

Tyler: nah man we'll always do something on saturday...luke just mentioned that we should go balls out (luke, if my g/f is around keep your real balls in dude). I think every saturday we kind of approach it with the idea that it's gonna be gnar lol. I'm sure not gonna stop skating saturday, no worries man.

no problem dude, if you feel like coming along to see some of the spots feel free, there's never any pressure out there to go past your comfortable limit. The first time I went to marnoch (it's like a 50 mph hill from the top) I started @ 'the boat' that's in the trees like 1/8th the way up and hit maybe 22 mph lmao. It was epic to me, there were two dudes maybe half way up and then luke above them...good times man think about it.

M3rc, you should join the guys when they do the hills. Youll learn a lot just by watching and checking out there different rigs, and you can skate them starting from the bottom and getting more and more comfortable. Just take it slow.
And yeah, those are the drifters. Did my first few hands down slides yesterday and left blue 'thane lines!!

Damn you kids. I'll try to squeeze some time in before work and school. Especially with a shuttle.
Another option I was thinking about was hitting up chase hill, take it all the way to school, and then hop on the school shuttle back to the top and repeat.
Also an update for you utsa kids, we've found a potential advisor for the official UTSA club, and am getting the paperwork done currently. If I don't have your name and banner number and you'd like to join PM me or post it. Ian, I need lisa's number.
