and way I thought about this today, I know we've all thought of Iron whore and NCR for a possible race place, but I thought of 2 more possibilities.
K-seal from the top, its not technical at all, but its long and at least 40mph. theres 3 bumps in the road in the top section which could cause some fun.
GRAVI MUTHA FING TRON we havn't been there in forever, i don't think jakes even hit it. Its over 40, Its got some turns, the crack in it would be fun. Either set up a finish line where it mellows out (would be beneficial to those of us who can't pump) or take it all the way to the end.
watcha guys tink?

re: San Antonio LongBoarders - SLAB!
I like the k.seale idea esp. on a weekend morning when there's no traffic. the right lane gets weird towards the finish which would cause some funneling of the pack...could be fun.
Has anyone here done k.seale from the top besides me and luke?
Babcock could be the backup if k.seale somehow gets busted.
I've never done gravitron so I can't say anything about it. I've seen it and it looked a little narrow which could be a problem with heats + traffic. at least the whore is wide...but I've never been on it so nvm.

Yo Dr . Here's a look at a board you can sink your teeth into. I'll be bringing oddities like this out. Plus spreading the skog and perhaps setting up cones for learning purposes
All in all, sounds good about hitting Austin and the Houston garages for some recreational riding Y0!
Getting excited to be in the Longhorn zone!

The trucks are radded up front and deradded in the back. It also provides for a forward lean for the push. With the trucks up front with a lot of turn and the back trucks less turn, you get an 18 wheeler type of turn where the front steers and the back follows.
It pretty much what the downhill slalomers are using. what makes sense on paper doesn't necessarily fly with different types of setups for different types of skating. Did you see the video? that board turns on a dime. And actually the hardness of the wheels vary for smooth vs rougher terrain for my tastes.
bigger wheels up front make sense for a different type of truck set up. for my flat land boards where I pump the flats, big wheels up front aren't my style. They work but with smaller you can make quicker turns and the front lean for my style is the way I like it.
Hope that makes sense. Put to the roads it makes perfect sense.
yea those bennetts can be seen and ridden when I show up in early November. Dr.KelderLBDH is gonna get me hooked up around town and I'm looking forward to Austin and Houston. I have way different boards for downhill racing and garage riding. look forward to spicing up the locals with my type of pedidextrous skating.

I figured it was one of the elder's friends bc of the 40+ness, but since maybe not...
+1 on the welcome/who are you? lol
Sudafed after work today pretty much knocked out any hopes of skating in the beautiful weather, bummer. Great nap though.
Anybody have preferences for saturday? I wouldn't mind starting earlier than normal...like 2 or 3 and skating when it's light out.
