re: San Antonio LongBoarders - SLAB!
Mike: Big props for getting me those numbers. Wouldn't have been able to meet up with the RB guys without ya.
Luke/Jake: Thanks yet again for helping me out, this time with frontside sliding.
Everyone else: Great skate guys. Was great meeting all of ya.
Here's some vids:
Run #2
Run #3
Run #1 came out way to dark for some reason. I think that's the one where everyone but Juke beefed it anyway so no biggie.
Haha I felt like more of a n00b then I ever have and fell SOOO much yet I learned more than I ever though possible so thanks guys. Still more to learn.

you were on the stickman right? it has plenty of concave, but you only have those little circles for grip. Even if you don't get vicious, if you have a full foot platform of grip you will stop slipping off. Just pumping around on that board i could feel my feet move if they werent directly over the larger circles. Grab some grip from zumies if you have to, just tape it up.

re: San Antonio LongBoarders - SLAB!
Anybody got ideas for wednesday/thursday early?
I was thinking about "..." (forgot about mentioning spot names...the big, fast hill with construction above the top near luke and mitch) or k.seale.
Since the weekly sessions are kind of up in the air and lots of us are busy we didn't get a chance to talk about where we want to hold a race. I think once we pick a spot it wouldn't be too much work to set up and we could hold it in november/december.
My personal vote is for K.seale bc it has the fewest number of intersections, it's long and it's fast.
And so it begins...lol

re: San Antonio LongBoarders - SLAB!
The days grow shorter as the nights are getting long, seems we're running out of time.
Standard time is back Nov. 1. You know that means darkness comes at 6 in the p.m. So for Wed. the 4th we should start at the code 1 @ 4:00 and move to code 2 then if there are lights to code 3. Ya'll all have the code list, right? If you don't then PM me and I'll fill you in.
Over and out.

The dates are posted you guys. I would like to change it to Thursday of NEXT week so we can have two (2) days during the week to skate w/ Chris. I want to try our luck at Spec on Thursday of NEXT week. Ya'll check the SLAB Announcement thread for any updates. There are no codes I was just messing around. We will start early on Wed NEXT week due to standard time.

I understand that it's gonna be next week. I understand that it's gonna be planned earlier than usual on wed. bc of the time change. I don't understand if it's a permanent switch or just for next week when chris is here. That's all I'm asking because I need to change my schedule around if we gonna skate spec on thursdays from now on. I read the "announcement" thread the day it went up and I've re-read it several times. It doesn't say if this is a permanent switch either.
So, are we only planning on hitting the spec on thursday during the week chris is here or are going to do that from now on? No reason to lose your temper man.

This is what I think about Spec: It's realistically over. The folks there, tenants, management, staff, have been turning a blind eye to us. There's probably someone new who has spoken up and they've done what any property owner could, would, should do. Maybe when we show up on the new day, maybe even a new time, we'll be pleasently surprised to find the elevators running. Maybe we'll even find cookies and Koolaide too. I'm not gonna bet on it. Hey it was a great thing while it lasted. Maybe one of our crew should make an appt. w/ the building engineer to see what actually happened. It seems to me we need to start hitting new garages in much smaller groups, in and out, real guick like to see what there might be out there. I think we should use the rim for as long as we can while its still closed to thru traffic. Ya it's steep and oooo dangerous but it'll make a skilled slider, drifter, comtrolled skater out of you. I found this hill as just a few others the day after it was paved over a year ago. I couldn't even foot brake. But I carved and carved until I could make it down w/o busting my ass. I also was in better condition than I am now due to the walk/run back up. Hey I'm sorry and bummed about Spec as much as everybody else. I don't mind trying it periodically at random times, but I ain't going to piss someone off and get my tail throwd in jail or even harrassed over it.
So to answer anybody's question if I wasn't clear, I'm going to take Chris there when I said I was and only did I say on that day only and probably start a little later. After that we or you guys can decide and I'll join you if I can.
