Yes we did, he's footbrakin the hell out of that bitch. Even w/ the footbraking, his vid is quite impressive. We're still waiting for him to surface; a lot of us already know what he looks like and we'll know him when we see him. We do want to skate with him and his crew. He should know that none of us were ever really mad at his boldness when he flamed SLAB on that thread. We really don't care, we skate

UNTIL I GET THE WORD OUTto all of the other SLAB'r's, the spec will be the meat'n place @ 10p.m. every Wednesday!
Some of the new skater's aren't on the "Fish" yet, so I've got to keep the meet @ the spec.
As for the early session, Luke an I will be @ the springs til dark(or going to the rim by dark?)
Houston: not sure yet?
Austin: who's going?

curious, why no footbraking? seems like it takes much more talent to footbrake than slide stop or slide to slow down.
i don't understand this sliding stuff. it just wrecks your wheels and interrupts your flow.. but heck, what do I know, you kids are calling all the shots now.

sliding is more fun than foot braking. and the most important thing it looks cool 8)
idk about wrecking the wheels. if you break em in right then they just get to be more fun, although chunking is a real buzz kill.
The comments about a certain person footbraking however, are basically because he foot-brakes about every 10 feet where as the list of guys in jakes post have done the same thing without footbraking at all.
Not dogging on foot-braking. its a necessary skill that we all should have, just saying when you can't really say you ride a hill if 1 foot is being dragged on the pavement the whole way down.

re: San Antonio LongBoarders - SLAB!
Hes got a myspace page some where around and has some SAC videos I saw too, love that garage. But yeah the dude could learn learn to carve well to shave off the speed if he doesnt wanna charge the whole waydown and not rely on his footbrake. Could get some gloves too. My potangs are well coned and after a little more use will be too small on one side, but only if the vibrations dont get any worse first.

awesome skate at John T. French Fries. That was sick and fun at the same time.
We ended up going to Spec. then to the circle/couple of runs(Kelder,Tom,Mike,Pria,Fred).
Fred: Prop's man, you bomb'n JTFF's was sick! Little more practice man, you'll be hit'n 40s and then 50s.

JTFF was ridiculous! Loved it. About a week or so back when I saw you bombing that hill on the vid you posted, I NEVER thought I would be able to bomb it so soon. Just one of those leap of faith moments.
Spec and circle were great as well.
Priya: Thanks for the info on "pumping" man. I'll try it out when I get my new bushings.
Mike: Thanks brother. If it wasn't for you convincing me to come to SLAB that one Wednesday, I'd still be rolling down small grade hills and cruising that Stone Oak garage instead of getting my stoke on and bombing huge hills. Props back at ya.

I'm not saying the footbraking shouldn't be done. Footbraking at speed is probably the most important and most difficult skill to master. Mischo owns people bc he can footbrake better than the rest. I also think that the ability to actually pre-drift at speed correctly is equally as difficult to learn.
Homeboy didn't bomb the hill, skillfully footbrake then rail the two turns. He just dragged his foot most of the way. Of course with no pads, helmet, or slide gloves you don't have much of an option.
But without pads, helmet and gloves the statistics are gonna catch up with him eventually.
And sliding is super fun. I definitely think being able to both footbrake and slide/drift well takes much more skill than doing one or the other.
But I think we all know that nothing takes as much skill as mastering the art of the skog!
But w/e. f that tool.
Yesterday's sesh was awesome. I love TJFF and the majority of the people there seem to dig us too.
The slide sesh was sick as always.
I didn't make it to the spec bc nobody posted up that we were going there. If it doesn't get posted or texted out I usually make other plans. Being home at 10 is pretty nice lol.
Ian:sorry you missed the cake...and the (.Y.)
Fred: you're redonkulous...for real
Mitch: food is good for you, try it some time
Luke: that big coleman was sick dude.

re: San Antonio LongBoarders - SLAB!
Me and Kelly checked out 5 garages last night (skated 3) One in particular is worth showing SLAB. I hereby cristen this one, the "Engineer's garage". (one of my consulting engineer offices in there) Kelly took a spill on the humidity slick lower transition. There was a lot of that in all the garages we checked out last night. Spec was available to us, the guard left at ten (after he shut off the elevators ) After 2 runs I personally decided that the Spect does not thrill me any more. I blame this on the Houston garages.
BTW, the circle was fun and the Hellcat was fast. (10 mm ceramic bearings fast)

Haha tyler is saying you're footbreaking too much that means something. Can someone link me those vids?
Tom: call me back? I'm dying to check out that hellcat. Pictures? Setup? Custom graphic?

Don't know if anybody has been paying attention to the Teutonia IGSA race in Brazil.
Mischo Erban won.
He also set a new speed record: 70.23mph!
The street luge guys hit 80 on this hill.
Scoot took this fall in the high 60's...this video is not accelerated...remember.
TJFF anyone? lol
Oh and Matt, don't get too excited about the link to the Johnnie Jackson video after the clip is over.
