Article 6701d. Sec. 13. (a)- A street or highway. The entire width between the boundary lines of every way publicly maintained when any part thereof is open to use of the public for the purpose of VEHICULAR travel.
thats our problem, we are not defined as any form of vehicle, and yes i checked the entire section, it covers (defines) EVERYTHING from a motor vehicle, to a bicycle, to a horse drawn carriage... so we are not legal to be on the road.

re: San Antonio LongBoarders - SLAB!
I remember looking this up when Tmont got busted for good. On public roads almost every state lumps skateboards in with 'coasters' (that's what they're referred to in the regulations). Those devices aren't allowed on public roads ever, most people and cops just don't care or know about it so we don't get problems.
But when it comes down to it we definitely don't have a leg to stand on. Bicyclists can barely get around out here without getting killed, skaters don't have a fighting chance.
Of course it's probably illegal to have that meth lab in my garage too...

BEACH FAIL
oh and tropical storm Ida should be moving into the gulf on monday...surf in corpus is pretty good right now, minus the moon jellies. The swell should clean up and most of the crap should be gone be the weekend..might have to make a trip down.

no I'm probably going next weekend though.
that muscle in my back is still giving me some discomfort from all the sliding/surfing madness last week. decided to give it a week off and see if it gets better.
should be good after the weekend.
everybody have fun in Austin.

re: San Antonio LongBoarders - SLAB!
oh dude last time i was down there I saw a 3 story garage on the way to the island...that's something at least.
Of course if I lived down there I would be SUPing/surfing and just work on my sliding when I skated.
Anyways, Ida is a hurricane now and it's supposed to make landfall around tuesday. i might be headed down there wednesday if the swell isn't too crazy. It should clean up nicely by the weekend though. The left over swell should be fun sized...maybe we could hit up that garage if anybody tags along. lol
i've been resting that muscle in my back all week. no skating. nothing. I thought I had pulled it from doing coleman's non-stop but I think that was only aggravating it. I originally pulled it trying a frontside pre-drift. I guess the torque from cranking your side like that pulled something. still a little uncomfortable, but starting tommorow I'll try working it again.
I'll probably be hitting up culebra-area stuff after work monday/tuesday. I want to do those enduro-runs, slide around sugarbear, and maybe hit up the bitchy gated hill too. The bottom of sugar bear might be paved now, haven't been over there in almost two weeks.
I guess the beach fail picture of the chick about to get her face pwned by a mid-sized wave didn't spur any new posts...so here's another picture that might get some people laughing.

what's up guys? It's caleb
Whats been going on????
My wrist still isnt healed.....I probably should have got a cast eh?
Did some x-rays about 3-4 weeks ago and the doc said i "may" have a minor fracture in my wrist. I would have been to him already but he is 2-3 hours away and my school scheduale is a biatch....hes only open M-Thurs so i havent done any skating until i see him....
School is kicking my ass, and i'm not 100 percent if i will have any skate time when my wrist heals(if it does)
So....im going to sell my board now any of you want to buy er???
If you dont remember i have a earthwing widerglider/superglider, with randall 180 50*
Abec 7 bearings
72mm 80a retro freerides...
I need money for school and the board is just sitting there....ill skate again and learn to go downhill someday............

I'd prolly just hold on to it if i was you, but put this up on the rowdy bombers site too. them kids are in need of a nice setup a little more than most of us.
Sucks that your going on hiatus though. heal up and get back out there man.

re: San Antonio LongBoarders - SLAB!
caleb: dude I would hold on to your board if you can. You're always gonna need money for school bra and the amount of money it would take to get a new setup is greater than the amount of money selling your board is gonna get you for school.
The stoke you'll get from just rolling around for a bit outside will be better for you than not skating at all too. Even if it takes a few months before you wanna hop back on, I would definitely say keep your board.
If you really really need some money I'll take your rII's off you. I need a set for the fat daddy. let me know.
keep the board, don't lose the stoke man. there's a spot for you in da SLAB when you heal up.
peace

re: San Antonio LongBoarders - SLAB!
Caleb,
If you can, hold on to that EW. It's always gonna be there for you. Plus, it's a great tool to clear your mind or get around campus (beer runs). #### man use it as a dolly when moving heavy things or as a home furnishing that will surely envoke conversation about your laidback style and undeniable coolness. Needing money, sell your plasma, get a parttime job a Zumies and show those idiot's what's up, pimp yourself out to horny cougars (my choice) or save money save a ton of $$ on gas by borrowing my 08 civic and I'll drive your mustang (lol). Whatever you do, don't regret selling it.
Heal up brother and get cho ass back on deck. (Like it or not, your SLAB)
