Kickass man! I'm gonna order the Black/Red soon while they are still on sale. My parents would probably get it for me for my birthday if it means me being safer..haha. What size did you get?
Yea, I just wanted to try out some elims because it seems like alot of people are riding them and my friend was giving me a good deal on them. If I get them I might use the boardside JimZ elim and put a Reflex barrel on roadside.

I got a size medium 40"chest (my chest is like 39") It's pretty snug with the pads in, real good fit actually. Might want to measure yourself with a fabric tape measurer, or with a string then measure the string to get your size. And you might want to start lifting weights if you don't want to go into the girl's sizes.
Jake's got a ton of stims, I'd suggest you test out what they feel like before buying the jimz.

Fred, I have 2 purple venom 87a eliminators and 2 yellow venom 85a eliminators. All four bushings for $10.00. I've never used stim shapes for DH bc I got the kahas and no matter what Ian says they don't fit lol. I'm pretty much always going to using double barrels between 85a-93a range for DH.
I do really, really like super soft stims for cruising/carving/sliding/freeriding or w/e you wanna call it. The rebound on the 85a-87a elims is too intense to hold out standies even at my weight so they've just been sitting in the box.
I've never tried Jimz's...but hey you'll save yourself $10 if you try the venoms first...which means more $$$ for your jacket.
I hope my leathers get here in time for the Sizzler or else I'm gonna have some issues.
I second Fred's spec sesh idea, along with catholic life. Has anyone ever skated the big garage near the Whataburger corporate HQ by the Quarry?
peace

The venom "elim" bushings are not gonna be anything like Jim Z bushings, not even the double stepped one. If you were to compress one with your fingers, and then press an elim you would notice the difference. Totally different compound. The Jim Zs are pretty lifeless, and are meant to be, some people like it. I dont know if Ill ever step off of venom barrels.
Skaters gonna skate.

this west/northwest wind would be a perfect head wind on mordor. However, Iron whore across the way would have a tail wind.

yes my dad used to go to the health club that is right there and every saturday he would drag me along, and back in my middle school days I used to skateboard so I took it with me once, they have a security guard on the bottom floor of both garages there and I was told to leave the second I took the board out of my car. also if my memory serves me correct the surface is not smooth and there are speed bumps on every floor.

So I was looking for the form thing I have to fill out for the TX Sizzler. Where is it at? Was just looking at the thread and saw $90. It's really $50 right?
I'm in if it's $50.

The $90 is for the 3 slalom races(giant, hybrid, tight)
i think its $50 for the Downhill only
and if you are signed up for the slalom race, its only an aditional $25 to do the DH
