Sly and I went out to Stone Oak last night around midnight and did Evers coming in from 281. Asphalt is less then a week old and it's the best paving job around. We worked our way nearly to the top ofr the main road where all the guard rales are. Was very nice>
Dude last night was nuts. Although I only had two beers at the bar, the malt liqours I had before it really did me in. Ever seen that thread in the safety forum "Dont drink to excess and skate"? Yeah, that guys probably right. Although it all went OK probably shouldnt have been standing on a longboard in that state. But Kelly is right, this hill is immaculate. The road is so well paved and lit its amazing. I was carving and footbraking in my drunken-ness, but Id like to go back soon and be a little more aggressive.

Good to see you back Nic, you def gotta come out with us. Hows your car? I just chekced out Mornach on toporoute, the first .13 miles comes in at a whopping 13%! That is rediculous. Im thinking mid-hill? Lol. Tom do you still have the image of it? You been riding your arsenal of wood at all these days?

The car is still dead in the drive way, tho I'm using my aunt's old camero, but my car should be running soon enough.

The day I rode up into those hills I was on a Sec9 Nosewalker. I was one of two male camp counselors, the other had a broken ankle so I was under strict orders not to kill myself as well, that and again no medical.

And I didn't posses the brass to run it.

Longboard: Ground Control Diablo "dropped", Bear Grizzly 852s, Sec9 wheels
Streetboard: Dimension Warlord plates, Highland Cartel 55 bar, Viking II trucks, Frontal Softcore bindings.

Dude dont feel any shame, I dont think I would either on my downhill board, let a lone a nosewalker. We know of some good easy runs, and I wanna check out some of the spots youve told me about. My car is dead too, and Ive got no ride pretty much so a lot of my skating gets done in my neck of the woods. I sometimes skate long distance to other parts of town though, I love it.

Sly, I'm looking for that photo, it must be in my p.c. at home. I will post it asap.
I'm not skating really, I do get out on at least one of my decks every day. Light runs keeping up with the kids on there bikes. My street has a hill but nothing over 20 mph is possible. I'm working a nasty deadline on a few projects that go out for bid at the end of the month. It's a stressfull situation, what I would give to be 20 again.
Really like me demon seed, got hand to the Canadians they know how to make a speedboard! congrats on your enlistment, whens the last 420, than when we really to get together.

What's up guys, can we organise a skate day with you guys? how fast are the hills in San Antonio? I will like to go there and skate with you're crew. Maybe a few of us can pile up in car and go.it will better foe uson a Saturday morning.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, cold beer in one hand - longboard in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming, Yeaa Haaa What A Ride!!!

Of course man, we always welcome out of towners. Were you at the race setup by the TXDH guys a couple weekends ago? Whos all part of your crew? The hills are pretty good, not like you guys got in austin, but some fun 30-35's, as well as one or two 40's. Now too many roads with turns, unfortanatly. Some of these roads might be a little more dangerous in the morning due to traffic, would yall be able to skate on a friday night, kick it some where and skate some more safe places the next morning?

Tom, thanks for the grats my recruitor is coming over here any minute for us to get this ball rolling. As far as sessions, Ive been not having any for a good 3 weeks now, but stupid me took a small hitlast night . I was just a lil intoxicated, ya know. My test is coming up probably next week or week after, but then im going to Cali for 5 dayss and I wanna get that part of my enlistment done with before my trip. Once thats done, Im down for a couple of sessions, I really dont like smoking and then skating though as I just feel uncomfortable on a board for some reason.

Sounds good Pete. That weekend was a lot of fun and I have plans on making it up again. I wish I lived there again so I could skate those hills often. Im some what novice at DH and the hills around here are limited so that doesnt help. Because of my plans to enlist Ive decided that I should take it easy with the speed, I guess I just feel its the most responsible thing for me. I really want and need this enlistment, so Im not gonna F it up like my last one. Doesnt mean I wont be longboarding, just nothing intense or unfamiliar territory for me. Tommy and Dorian are really cool guys, looking forward to skating with everyone again soon.

hey guys, i'm coming into town tonight. I'm not really planning on doing alot of skating this weekend. I'm mostly going to just chill with my buddies. But I am going to stop by and hit a couple hills out by Boerne (there's a nice chill neighborhood in Fair Oaks called "The Woods" and it's got maybe two or three good runs). Anyways, I'll try to snag a camera from one of my friends and get some pictures for you guys so you can see how the hills look.

By the way, are any of you going to see Portugal. The Man tomorrow night at Rock Bottom?

Your in buddy!!! Keep tabs on this tread for further developments and scheduling.
Like me, you will not be the oldest man on deck. Kelbobber1 is the old man running this crew. He is our elder and mentor at 46. Where's your skate turf?

    WELCOME TO THE FISH!!!!

Kelbobber, did you go to BHS? I didn't, but I know alot of guys that do. Sorry, for not giving you guys a call or anything. it was a real quick weekend, and I only got to skate for like 30 minutes the whole weekend.

by the way, kelbobber, have you ever gone around and checked out any of those back roads in Boerne? Most of them are chill, but I bet you could map out some that you can just cut from block to block and go for a good ways just cruising. And I while I was home, I went over to the Catholic Church in Boerne (I think it's called St. Peters?). They're parking lot is really cool. it's all at a downhill slope; so you can carve through it. there's alot of gravel/dirt/acorns on the ground though so you gots to be careful not to slip.

i'm planning on coming down with some buddies from Waco for a weekend, and just go around skate the whole Saturday we are there. I'll let you guys know when it goes down. None of us are legit downhill guys though, but I like going on rides around 20-25ish and dancing if any of you guys want to come along.

    Hey Shark,
No, I went to Churchill (80). I've live in or around Boerne for 20+ years and I'd like you to show me some of the back roads youre talking about because most of them are just tar and gravel not asphalt. I may be wrong but I'm pretty familiar with the area and always welcome hot tips.

We are getting together next week for the first organized SLAB (mixed code for SA long Boarders) meeting and run. The first run may happen on Thursday or Friday late, late so to miss traffic, subject to change. Sunday morning though will be an early, EARLY, run out at Babcock and Scenic, and there's a neighborhood close by that has a 3-4 minute run (carving cause you may not like the speed) within a mile of Scenic Loop Rd.

    Hope you can make it.
