San Antonio LongBoarders - SLAB!

Is it time? Is anyone interested? How many are there?

Do the longboard skaters of San Antonio want to UNITE? or at least just get together for a session every once in a while. Make yourself known if this is something you may want to take part in.

There are probably a few folkes in SA that have been around here longer and may have something going already. If so, if you have room in your group let us in.

Anyway let's start talking about it. Hopefully we can do get together .

This was not my idea but I think its a good one.

Yeah man I just moved to SA about 2 weeks ago and I'm itchin for some buddies to skate feel free to pm me I'm never doing anything and I don't sleep much so I'm pretty much always down with longboarding.

But let me clear something up......
The only skating I have been able to do latey has been some LDP around my hood and the school yard after midnight. My day skate sessions occur when I'm chasing my kids on their trikes and bikes. I've been working a school bond deadline that will strap me till the end of October. I can at least get out to meet for an organized skate once a week. It actually eats into my cycling time, the wife lets me off the leash 3 times a week to ride 50 miles on my colnago. She won't let me have a fourth day just to let me skate, our kids are 3 and 5 and can be quite the unruley brood once you find yourself out numbered.

I'm literally almost always awake so after midnight seshes are fine by me, that's how it was back in Houston since no garages were open till then. Let me know if you need some company on those late nights I'm the guy

I'm at the home office plugging away on Revit (AutoCad), drawing wall sections and related details. My cell is shut off, saw your text. Sorry for not getting back 2 U. I have a meeting with my structural engineer in the morning, to coordinate some conditions that I have not even drawn yet, Yikes!

Just came back to the house for a snack. Ya, imagine that! Now back to the home office. No net There. I'm working on design for new office building for Camp Waldemar, Murgo's final proposal, and a design on a small res. Should be enough to take me through the night. K

Guys didnt see this post before I replied to the other one. Were hitting stone oak at 10 pm tomorrow night(15th)!! Ill be there no matter what, fatrat too, lets all SAers come together theres plenty of us now. Would also be really great to have shuttle/chase car as well. How bouts it?

Right on bomb squad, yall are in houston right? I beleive Ill be making a trip to Austin to ride with the TXDH boys this weekend, is that closer for you? Looks like a crew is coming together for tonights session, should be a lot of fun!

not sure yet since its gonna be my first time there butim pretty sure were gonna hve some bombers and carvers, I'm more in between. You should come out man I'm gonna have my freeboard you should come check it out

The hills in that area are big. Bombing you can get speeds of 35-40, but you can do whatever youd like. You could carve on them to try and control the speed if your not comfortable going that fast. I know Ill be going from half the hill before starting from the top.

We will be meeting at a quiznos at stone oak pkwy and huebner at 10pm tonight. Myself and calvin (420longboarder) will be there a little earlier around 9 45. Whoever is coming bring your pads and helmet if you got em, might want to consider bringing a bottle or two water/gatorade/whatever. Session will be going on til whenever, Im down to ride for hours tonight. I still havnt heard from Kelly and Tom, where the heck are you guys.

I'm running about 90% for tonight. The Quiznos at Huebner and Stone Oak, right?
I'll bring at least 2 boards, the Demonseed and the Dervish and maybe a Vanguard.

Right on! We got another SA rider with a demonseed (fatrat) whos gonna be there. And yeah, the quiznos at huebner and stone oak pkwy. Theres a hill right there and were gonna hit that one for sure, theres 3 hills that I know of within a mile of the quiznos, so we should have a great session tonight guys. Its looking a lil cloudy, but I dont think we will be getting any rain. But yeah, quiznos, 10pm. Bring your pads and gloves guys.
