Looks like there's going to be a lot of skating going down next week (27th, 28th) here in Austin. People from Houston, San Antonio and hopefully others (*cough* Dallas *cough*) are coming in. I'll have my video camera, and if you have one, or a normal camera bring it.
Let's go skate!
There is going to be a race too. First place gets a set of s9 RFs in 76mm 78a. And a percentage of the race pot, which comes from throwing down $5 (50/30/20 for first through third respectively). Hopefully everyone will be down to get it done before It gets hot on Sunday.
Forgot to mention that the course is 45+ mph, so if you're coming be ready for those speeds. Bring at least a helmet and gloves (its required). I'd recommend more, I don't want any injuries. Hopefully everyone can get here early in the weekend. I'm planning to have a freeride/practice day on Saturday, then have practice runs and the race on Sunday. The road is going to be the least busy before 12, so hopefully we can get the race started and done before then. It'll be the safest and cause the least annoyance to the locals. Their really friendly, but I would hate to lose this spot.

Hey, I talked to another rider here in SA and hes already planning on being in Austin for the weekend. Hes 420longboarder here on te forums, his name is calvin and he said he would be down to ride but doesnt know if he will be comfortable bombing these hills on his s9, so he might just free ride. His friend hes staying with rides too. I may or may not participate in the race depending on how well the free riding session goes, Ive never been faster than around 40. Im totally stoked though. ACL is this weekend as well, my friend is supposed to be having a party around zilker park area.
Where abouts in austin is the spot were gonna be running? Kelly, are you gonna be making it? Have you gotten your new dope board in yet?
