Road Trip: Houston/Austin, Tx => Albuquerque, Nm
Anyone wanna go? 8)
Many, many awesome ditches to ride. A few parks, a few garages, cool locals and it's not illegal to ride in the roads.
Who: Me, Wife, Friends, you?
What: Road Trip to skate the best ditches and roads in the world.
Where: Houston/Austin, Tx => Albuquerque, NM
When: November-ish, depending on when I get back to the US
More info
We went the same time last year(November 16th we arrived in ABQ and it was amazing.)
Drive time from Austin is About 12 hrs, 850miles (time and distance depend on route)
Plenty of stops on the way to skate.
Estimated Cost:
hotels
   Hyatt Regency downtown $95/night
  Hotels in the area $50-125/night
Group rates/discounts are available at most hotels so if we have enough people/rooms booked, that could help.
gas
Our car will have roughly 4 people in it. So with all people pitching in for gas, each will pay about $50 in gas for the whole trip (roughly, maybe more, depending how much driving is done in ABQ , as well as fluctuating gas prices).
So plan accordingly on who you ride with and their mpg, etc.
miscellaneous
bring a few hundred bucks to eat and by any cool #### you might want from the shops.

Here in NM we get weather in the late summer, and sometimes in the winter, like around late Nov. to Jan. But most of the time the ditches are ok, because our weather lasts a half an hour. And if it snows it's melted by the next day and the ditches are clean by the day after that.
But I'll let you guys know how it's looking later, it can change really quick.

once it gets to about late october, it gets colder, but the ground gets cold, and your wheels get harder, so ditches are even more fun because you can go faster.
