    Default starting to make longboards

    just wondering if anyone has any hints or pointers we are getting a jack press and we are just wondering if anyone has made some and how thay did it we also are making a mold for a couple boards to

    As far a wood goes, my source here (New Mexico) orders it for me from some place in Phoenix. So you should have a good source. Just call around to local lumber yards and see if they have 1/8in or 1/4in baltic birch.

    and make sure its actually baltic birch. Many hardware stores carry birch plywood, but that stuff is garbage and will result in a build that wasnt really worth the time/money

    Go to Woodworkers Source. It's on Kyrene and Elliot plus a couple other locations. That's where I get my stuff. They've got 5'x5' sheets for 30 bucks and some maple for a little more money too.

    ya there is a place called spellmans that has berch and maple 10 mil i was going to use that

    whut wood would you recomend we were going to use birch and maple and ash after we get it going good then we are going to use bamboo but that stuff is exspensive

    nice baltic berch whut about maple and ash are those good woods to use

    maple is really nice if its some good hard maple. and i dono about ash

    timber hardwoods in tempe is pretty legit. tons of baltic birch in 1/8... didn't see any good maple when I was in there...

    i am getting a press made this weekend it is going to be a 5 ton press i think i got building the mold down but if anyone has made one and worked good ya i need to talk to you
