I just got an email today on youtube. From a Chris B. in Durango Colorado, those guys dont mess around.
Heres what it said.
"What up,
I am doing a longboard demo tour at college campuses this spring. I am going to be in Arizona from March 8th to March 17th. I have DurangoBoards, Landyachtz, Abec11, Paris Truck Company, Concrete Wave Magazine, Timeship Racing, Moto Grip, and TB Productions all on board as the tour sponsors. I will be setting up a booth at college campuses showcasing our products. I am also representing these companies to skate shops and to skaters directly. I will be doing a video documentary and am looking to hook up with longboarders to show off their local grounds. If you are able to have a session with us let me know."
So i say lets show this guy a good time.
Lets make a schedule for all the great spots in town we can hit. And some that are out of town and up north... Where the fast runs are, or down south at Mnt. Lemmon.
LETS GET AS MANY PEOPLE AS WE CAN!!!!! i also say a party sesh at a local garage :P

not on hawes or the off roads of it. back side of hawes i hold 30's the whole way. front side is a straight bomb that you can get 40 on. and plus for freeriding its amazing the roads are like butter for slides

only problem with the only street that is fast in las sendas is it's a straightaway.
honestly we have a lot of faster, techier hills that are more centrally located for everybody

Alright im down to go and dude have you ever takin the backside its freakin fun. but im down for where ever btw. at like 9pm friday the 13th we are riding at mcdowell mountain ranch.

I have taken it
on two different occasions
once when I was pretty new to longboarding, and even at the time it didn't seem fast, but it was somewhat fun to carve.
the second time was a couple of weeks ago
and I honestly found it boring as hell

everyone is entitled to their opinion. i have fun with it and can get into the thirties pretty steadily. there are more challenging hills but this is the closest one to me by far thats why i ride it all the time. and the hills are really fun to slide because the roads are so smooth.

There is a really gnarly run in the suburb I live in outside of tucson. And of course there is always Mt. lemmon. But if they are coming from the north "Canada Hills" is on the way.
