Phoenix AZ: Squaw Peak Park run on Wednesday, April 29th
Who's down? Here's a link to the location. http://www.local124.com/portal/index...e&savedid=2856 Its kind of like thunderbird park but a bit longer if I remember correctly. I chose a wednesday night because I thought it would be one of the less busy nights of the week. I say we meet up about 7pm, the park stays open til 11. Anyone have any suggestions for prizes or a different meet up time? Please post up if you plan on coming!!!

Im down, as long as it's not 40mph on a super windy road, very new to downhilling and still learning the ropes, especially sliding. Trav and I checked out Las Sendas, there are some good runs, but you need spotters at one point and a truck to drag you up to the top haha.

I'm going to check out the hill tonight.. its about a 200 foot drop in elevation within about 1/2 of a mile so i can't imagine it being too boring.. unless my mind is way off at comprehending those types of things.
Re: Phoenix AZ: Squaw Peak Park run on Wednesday, April 29th
Just bombed the park tonight, it was pretty sweet.. only thing that sucks is that there are a bunch of speed bumps, and a few are pretty rough. I made it down fine, and nobody should have any problems. It is a pretty good run and it covers quite a distance! There is a really sweet final drop at the end where we could have the finish line. I hope we can get a good amount of people there!! The security guard was pretty cool too, talked to him for about 20 minutes, then he said "Have fun with your skating!" speeds are probably between 20 and 30, maybe more.

Chris, do you think an Evo or DH race or any dropdeck board should be able to take these speedbumps without issues?

I bought Chris's EVo haha, but at that speed i don't think you're gonna be worried about dragging, more like landing. Travapachi and I are bombing Las Sendas again tonight in preparation, if any body lives in the area we'll probly be there around 8pm come join.
