Moving to phoenix, Wanna meet the people

Im moving back to arizona here in a month or two and im seriously into speedboarding. i wanna meet the other skaters in the area. even if your not into it that much or not at all, i still wanna meet the skaters. could you post with your names and how you ride so i can get to know you guys? thx.

well guys my names keith, im pretty much stricly DH. i do slide a bit. i heard there are a few good runs there in phoenix. like south mountain and such. i know once i get there ill be ordering monthly races or so.

i wanna get the DH community out of the darkness lol. get a skate team going there in arizona. tell me your set ups guys? what are you riding on?

My name is ryan and I'm part of team 4 8 0. The team is a little something we put together and consists of me, cole, josh, austin, and jordan. There are lots of skaters throughout the valley and everyones got something to offer. We'll be doing tons of skating this summer and skate probly every other day now haha.

That's our video we put out like a month ago...there are also a couple other small "teams" throughout AZ. I mainly do DH but trying to learn sliding...what part of AZ are you in?

My name is Damon, Arizona has a lot to offer for DH. Just look at the Longboard world map. Mount Lemmon is like the holy grail of Down Hill.

Okay, to elaborate i ride a rayne demonseed with radikal talon baseplates and paris hangers with venom eliminators. However i just ordered my carbon fiber Blackkross Dh evo2 and that should be here in a week or so. Im stoked!

Im super stoaked to hear that speedboarding is decent there. I lived there for 15 years then moved to florida, now im moving back for college. im looking for crews of people who are all comfortable at speeds 35+ doing technical courses. and on straight aways atleast 45+. how many real runs are there in az?

chopko are you guys just a group of freinds or would you be interested in having another ride with you guys. how fast would you guys say you go on average?

All of us in our group has hit lower 50's
the REAL runs your talking about here are amazing. Nice sweeping turns going like 50 and the 260 which is 10 miles of 45-50mph possibly faster. Its good stuff dude

Im Cole man. Im one of the peeps in the crew with Chopko and Josh . I come from a bit of a different background then these fellas , although dh seems to be consuming me lately haha. I am an avid dancer lol. I love boardwalking and slide as welll. As for my dancing / cruising set up i ride an LBL Komodo with paris 180s and loaded Durians. I also ride a LBL dancer at times. As for DH i have a wood LBL tarpon on Paris 180's with Jim Z whites and lemon Big Zigs. I tend to be the one organizing events in the commmunity and would love help you out or join up. I have sponsorships for the events already taken care of. we just need to do the legal end and the location. We hosted a race on a hill called sickamore creek , one of the 45mph+ hills a few months back and that was way sick. I am loookin to do another summer push race in July , and this one i will probably run through the State so it can be wayyy wayy bigger. If you need anything hit me up. 480 510 3841

We pretty much made the team because we ride together everyday and are from the same area....but I'm not against adding a member if you deserve it =) If you're the same skill level as us (or better hah) and a cool dude I'm sure we could work something out. Def gotta ride with ya first, but you sound like you know your stuff. I'm on a madrid sean mallard, randy 180's, lime bigzgis, venom dh barrel bushings. This summer should be amazing since everyone in the group will be down here (jordan goes to school up at nau) so we'll def put some stuff together. We'll have to take you to south mountain, sycamore creek (40-50mph wide sweeping turns), fountain hills (playground for longboarders), and some other stuff.

yeah thats gonna be fun, i think im moving back july. so we deff need to shread it up. are you guys down for road trips to colorado or cali?

Ya dude , i think imm gonna stay with louis p and james for a day or so over summer and skate with them and adam c . and i think our whole crew was planning a cali road trip. And josh is already going to CO next week for buffalo bill

I ride a Rogers Bros DH40 with Pogos and Talons. I'll be in Portland by the time you get here but I ride with Josh and Chopko and Cole a lot. I'm still trying to convince them to come riding in Portland so maybe you can tag along with them.

Arizona already has a pretty big scene so I'm not sure there's much to bring out of the shadows... People will be stoked to go to events though.
