might of cutout and half finished this deck the other day, had the design hanging on my wall for probably 6 months until i finally pressed and cut it out this last saturday night.
the stain job, well lets just say me and a friend got bored and not having an idea of what to do for the proto graphics wise, just started splattering stain all over the place (my legs still have color dots on them )
But yeah guess might as well introduce it here, this is the new buttboard (will be named later), i originally designed it, as i wanted a more stable platform for filming downhill runs, but figured what the heck lets make this igsa spec for classic luge at the same time.
but yeah finished it up somewhat on the saturday night and took it out on its maiden dh run after i was done doing some landscaping work on sunday, as there was a bran new road i wanted to hit across from where i was working. That being said i have never actually rode a classic luge, sure buttboarded a bunch for filming purposes, but speed judging and doing corners were definitely a different feeling, plus i had no grip on the board so i was sliding slightly going through the sharp corners.
all i can say is it was a fricken blast, i was so stoked and just jittery with energy, with a smile ear to ear on my face, only did three runs, on the first i blew through two dusty sharp 90+ degree corners because didnt really know the speed at which to take the corners while doing a whole new experience and they were dusty outside the main groove, so kinda rode gravel for a hundred feet some of it literally on my ass LOL. second run was my fastest (i felt) as i was jsut so pumped i was giving it, drifted through one of the corners, totally different feeling compared to standup, and the third run i did a bit more conservatively but was apperantly clocked doing 75kmh (decent speed nothing crazy) on the one section (had a buddy on his street bike following me).
But i think i might have gotten bitten by the bug, as its defintely fun, felt super stable the whole time once i tweaked the truck a bit, and i didnt even think i was doing 75kph, i was just going "YEEEEEEE HAAAAAAWWWW" the whole time.
but yeah fun fun fun
im going ride it a bunch more and a bunch of our team riders will be getting some, so we will definitely put some time into it and seeing if it needs to be refined, but right now i 100% confident its ready to rock, so it will be added to the website and lineup shortly it will retail for the same price as a widowmaker
(kinda copied and pasted this all from my one info thread in the manufactures section, but wanted to share)

Oh man, buttboarding is fun. Really easy too. At Munnsville it was like 100kph and I felt super stable.

well done some time on the green and blue one, went up to June springs a week or so back (4.2km long) but anyways probably did that road the fastest ive ever gone, defintely fun and was getting use to how everythign was differnt compared to stand up.
even had the roomate out on one , he doesnt longboards or luge, just dh mnt bikes, but on his second run he was hitting 65-70kph, he defintely enjoys it

yep they are for sale just dont have them on the site, but would be looking at i think $140 for the deck, and of course can come in any custom color, but we will be offering three stock colors if you don't have anything in mind (and mainly for shops).
but they will be
-blue and pink splatter
-red and black splatter

oh and was on mine today, have never experience a total 4 wheel drift on a butt board till today, blasted through two corners doign about 60kph one was a medium sized 140 degree corner and the other a 90degree corner, ended up drifting through them while half sitting up, also gave myself a second degree burn as my finger clipped the wheel and burned through my gloves and into my finger.
Fun run though, but could of done it so much faster, also had a head wind so only topped out at about 85kph

I wish I could literally throw some paint on a board and still have it come out beautifully.........some how Loki manages to keep it from looking like a 2 year old's finger painting.
