I figure, that since I don't have fun anymore, that i should make my student loan larger. With the money, buy a roger brothers pegless and a nice set of leathers. My student loan is only at 6,000$ right now.
Idk if it even works like that, but my sister has a huge student loan. She always seems to be getting money from nothing. So should I go for it or not?

You shouldnt relly on other peoples ideas, just do what you think is best.

what are you going to school for? How much do you expect to make when you graduate?
even if its a career with an abnormally high job placement in the face of a recession in which you'll be making more than 30-40k a year, you will probably be paying your student loans off for a very long time
and if you are making that much, you could easily put some money aside for a few months and just buy some skate stuff after you graduate
If you went to school for art, like I did, you know you are stepping into a life of poverty, and this may be your last chance to buy something like that for the next 3-5 years.
but......you should be spending almost all of your time focusing on school, not skating
I spend 21 hours at or getting to school. And another 10 to study. Like I said before, I don't have fun lol.
Architectural Drafting, though I could also go into mechanical engineering. Starting salary is expected to be around 70k$ assuming I do awesome at school. If i don't do so well, or I don't have impressing qualities, I'll probably start at 50k$ a year.

Well then you are doing it right , keep a good work ethic. As for not having fun, you don't need to spend thousands or even hundreds of dollars on skateboards to do that. Go to the movies every once and a while, take a break from studying all of the time. You'll absorb more if you let your mind get some rest. I assume you already have some kind of skateboard if you are looking into buying a rbros. Just ride that around.
Wait until you graduate and hold a solid job for 4-6 months, put a little money in the bank, and then start spending some money on fun stuff.

well you just answered your own question,
stay away from expensive hobbies and time erasing activities, dont party too much, graduate, land a well paying job and then buy a crazy setup and Njk's after your first 30 days at your new job to reward yourself for kicking ass in school
I'm all about finding fun in the midst of busting ass. But student loans are for one thing, being a student -- to get that job that pays well.
You'll be hard pressed to graduate laid up in a hospital because of a street luge wreck -- still plenty of time left to do that.
Was in Poipu Kauai last week for vacation and some mellow surfing. Day one, surf was head high narrowly missed rocks and stepped on sea urchin. Day two kooked out and paddled out without attaching leash to ankle -- board and I ended up in lava rocks with more sea urchin spines in hand. Decided this was a sign to quit for the day. As I left the beach, there was a sign on the beach that said "If in doubt, don't go out!" Later that morning, surf built another 2 feet (2 ft overhead breaking over rocks and urchins).
Next day surf was 8+ ft (face). That beach sign reminded me I came for mellow surf not to ruin a vacation.
Next morning I saw a set come through at 10+ ft (face). Saw one surfer's leash break and his board ended up on the rocks and saw another paddle back in on two halves of a board that snapped. Definitely not mellow.
I quit surfing on day 2 and stuck with mellow -- tropical drinks, boat cruises and touring the island of Kauai. I can surf a more mellow break some other time -- because I didn't drown.
If you really want to, I'd recommend building a buttboard.
You can get some cheap leathers off ebay. Get some randals. Cut a sheet of plywood, you are ready to go.
Don't start your life off after school being anymore in debt that you need to be.
I was pokin around the internet looking at stuff. And I noticed the Rewsports luge. It's 250$ plus shipping, which is very affordable if I got a summer job. I can't help but think of that saying "You get what you pay for," is there anything wrong with it?

Yeah... It isn't being sold anymore. Unless you can find one that is used.
The board itself, is not a bad board. Andy Lally made the board, at a lose, for the purpose of getting some cheap boards out there. The board itself has a few features that I personally don't like. The #1 thing I don't like is it is missing a butt protector.
But for $250 it was a good luge.
If you are looking for something cheap, I recommend getting a buttboard.
