Yep... The heydays of street luging... That event is also the reason Red Bull won't touch luge again... And them dropping it is probably largely responsible for the decline of the sport.
Sick showing though, all the videos from both years are awesome to watch.... If Tom Mason had his way I think there'd be a lot more air and physical contact in the sport of luge... I'm not against that... Anyone who's ridden with me and Hayden knows we'll kick each other, ram into each other... Flip each other...
But riding a luge off a kicker.... That's a different thing entirely.

i belive it was because something few off a luge board in one of these competitions and shaterted some photographers ankle and then the photographer sued them or something.

not true...
redbull SF was a small side event,
(they did it for 3 years)
x games and gravity games were the biggie...
after they dropped in, luge's 15 minutes of fame was up...

I first met Cliff Coleman at this event, he did a slide demo...

That race where it looks like he is riding a big popsicle is the Gravity Games in Providence, RI. That race was sometime between 97 and 2000 i would say. I always wanted one of those TVS boards.
