Default So who wants to help me out??

So i know quite a bit about longobarding, but not much at all about luge, if someone could take the time to explain the basics that would be cool! like, do ppl run double rear trucks for stability, what degree base plates are best, what trucks are best, are the stability rules sorta the same as longboarding, or do u need more or less turn than the average speed board??

    Thanks!

Not many people run double rear trucks. The typical setup is two front trucks and one rear truck. The main reason is you are shooting for a 60/40 weight distribution, with about 60/65% of your weight on the front trucks. With approximately 2/3 of your weight on the front trucks, and two front trucks it means all three trucks carry the same weight.

What degree base plates are best? Not sure what is best. The Randal Luge trucks are 60 degree, while the R2s are 50. Somewhere in this range is good.

What trucks are best? Right now the best trucks on the market are the Randal Luge trucks. Although people have used some of the better longboard trucks. Basically you want a wide truck, with a decent angle.

Not sure your question about stability and turn.
